Really gives the feeling of character exploring a world they were unprepared to discover with interesting characters and unique horrors.
What happens when society is molded to systematically strip its populace from their own sense of self and agency? This game answers that question and more in this magical realism adventure.
One of the few games that makes me fear for something - or someone - beyond myself. ALSO, SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!
What do you know, it's my favorite game? I fear this game as much as my morbid curiosity pushes me through the many cruelties it has to offer. Wonderful world, characters, and horrors!
Username unrelated, probably! So very feelings, so many feelings. Fear but also one of the few on this list that made me hopeful as well!
Is this horror? Probably not but, does this fuel my horror loving soul? Absolutely! It takes an absolutely unique game to make me feel like I'm leaning of edge of my sanity/reality and Hylic does that with ease (/pos).
HERE COMES THE EXISTENTIAL DREAD LOOK OUT!
Never before have I felt such a strong connection with a character in their journey. The rest redacted for spoilers but so much love for this game!
SUCH A GOOD GAME! Incorporation of so many different story telling elements and mechanics I haven't seen incorporated into a visual novel before!

Don't mess with spirits kids, less you get sent to shadow realm.
It was sweet until it wasn't! Intriguing mystery and cool characters.
I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY!
Murder or be murdered, violence takes on an almost justified light as the atrocities of this facility come to light.
Oh no... (/pos)
I feel both fearful and hungry after absolutely getting absorbed into the depths of the dungeon. Was my favorite game until, Fear and Hunger: Termina came out.
