Once or twice a month, I stream an Games+Demos Marathon on my Twitch, which is focused on promoting and exploring indie games. As a game design major and an artist, I've seen a lot of hard work being taken for granted.
Eventually, I would like to get to the point where we can donate/pay for these "free" games to encourage their developers to continue to learn and create.
This list reflects the games I have featured on my twitch, along with my thoughts on them!
(Still playing) I love love love what I've seen so far. The characters I have been able to interact with are very relatable, and as a LGBTQ+ APA, I am extremely happy with the representation. The humor involved is sure to make you laugh (if not breathe heavily out ur nose). Essentially, if you like realistic gay narratives, visual novels, them memes, and cute gorls, this is the game for you!
A cute little game to pass the time! (I mean it, I spend way too much time playing this.) With 52 pups to pet, multiple room layouts to explore, and an impending countdown, this low-poly game is a great way to get your daily dose of dog and game ^^
(Still playing) I love the classic RPG turn-based battle style of Ghost Hospital, which incorporates the mental health of the player (Robin) into both her skill set but also her state. Whether or not you have experience with anxiety, it's interpretation within this game is clear and realistic. With cute sprites, several ghosts, and an interesting plot of a human being trapped in a ghost hospital, all I can do is patiently (and excitedly) wait for the final game to be released!
