i loved this game sm!!! it's super comforting and helped me a lot at a time i was struggling pretty badly with dysphoria <3 /p
BIG SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE GAME HERE!!!
THERE IS SO, SO MUCH I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS GAME!!! good morning gogy is genuinely one of my favorite games ever!! it brings a nice, comforting air of nostalgia that gradually degrades into a terrifying dreamworld- day by day, you and george experience things go from strange, to bad, to so much worse.
as you stray further and further from his original dream, you feel a sense of deja vu- one that grows stronger with each repetition of the cycle. along with that already extremely unsettling feeling, you also get treated to plenty of horrific special events!! each day brings something new, ready and eager to scare the shit out of you!!
i think the one that affected me the most was the whole "sapnap soup" thing- i had to physically take a break and grab one of my plushies because it terrified me that much. i hadn't had something ever scare me that badly, although my fear of cannibalism didn't help lol, and i haven't again since.
that's not a bad thing, by the way!! that's a huge compliment coming from me- very few things have managed to unnerve me that much, and it's really impressive that the game creator pulled that off!!
i also really love the sort of weirdcore/dreamcore sort of vibe of the game in the later parts!! george has been a character that i've found gets associated with weirdcore/dreamcore a lot(probably because of his whole mushroom thing), and it's really cool to see that brought to life in game form!!
if you're reading this and you still haven't played this game, i'd highly recommend it!! there's twists and turns at every corner, and it always keeps you on your toes. it's one of my favorites for good reasons!!
confession: i know absolutely nothing about the lupin franchise!!! if anyone ever asks i'm taking this game and the jig is up as official lupin canon /hj

also the ace attorney stuff at one of the endings,,,, I LOVED IT SM!! i was really into aa at the time i first played this game, and it was really cool to see the aa characters in there :) they also feel like they fit into the universe??? surprisingly well??? very slay of you devs!!

i love how inconsistent the listed stats on actions in comparison to how they actually are!! i noticed it a couple times before jigen pointed it out at the end(like "hey wait??? why did?? his focus go down two bars instead of one??") AND IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE???? also pretty funny in hindsight like,,,,, lupin over here's hyping himself over being a super master-manipulator like he's the coolest thing since sliced bread- and in reality he kinda lowkey sucks at it LMAO
anyways this game is my favorite out of the alexisroyce ones i've played!! very slay!!
THIS IS SO??? GOOD??? it takes danganronpa!! and takes all of the yucky stuff out of it!! and makes it WAYYY better!!!!
only real letdowns were the last couple chapters and the ending, but the rest is a goldmine. the character designs were really good, the first two cases had just the right amount of difficulty(and oh my GOD the first one tore me apart), the character writing was pretty good, the sound design was EXCELLENT, n i especially love how the flowers connect to all of the characters!!
still kinda sad abt the last couple chapters + the ending not turning out so well, but i'd def recommend checking this game out regardless :3
