These are the results of the first, ever, course in game design in the Industrial Design Engineering program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
4th year studens of interaction design, computer science and music technology were given an assignment to design one prototype level for a 2D or 21/2D game using Unity. They had 1.5 month to do it, but only one quarter of their time available, due to other courses.
Paperprototypes were developed before component design in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and F-max and coding in Mono-develop. The prototype was assembled in Unity. The games have been user tested, usually in tight small itterations of playtesting.
