great story and pacing, bringing some fresh storytelling notions & mechanics to the game world from what feels like indie film & comix. really enjoyable time spent camping with these buds

Really simple, in a good way! Such a fresh take on Game Boy games. Fully respects all hardware limitations of the GB while keeping gameplay super engaging. Plus the art is BEAUTIFUL and so is the music. I got it on cartridge, I highly recommend you do too. Great late night couch hangtime game.
Marlowe is BRINGING BACK THE DESKTOP PET! It's amazing. Highly recommend leaving Tina on for as long as possible, there are so many incredible phrases she'll utter at the most inopportune moments.
So dang addicting, I've never been so attached to randomly generated characters. Beautiful art, well-crafted minimal storytelling, super smart strategy mechanics.
This game is SO FUN. A really interesting twist on turn-based battles. Addicting, just complex enough, and really encourages creative play. Can't recommend it enough!

This game really set the standard for doing small scope beautifully. So many boxes are checked -- open world, optional quests, multiple routes & playstyles to the end, collectable cosmetics -- but amazingly, the scope did not creep. So well executed on all fronts.
