This is an entry for 2017's Global Game Jam with Philippe and Suรขmi from Uruca Studios. This game taught me how to use joysticks for character movement but it also taught me:

  • How to handle instance states, like the towers which could be neutral, dominated by P1 or dominated by P2
  • How to effectively use the export variables, in such a way we could basically state the logic at the first hours and after that we never touched the code again, everything was made from the Godot Engine editor
  • How to handle particles textures and other particle settings

But not only that, the experience of the jam also taught me how to create behaviors to balance the games mechanics, e.g. make the character stop walking when punching, so it has a drawback if it punches without vanquish a tower, opening a advantage fot the other player to vanquish the tower and increasing the chance of win the round
