Cozy Games I've Already Played

The games might not be "traditionally" cozy (I have my own set of criteria what I consider is a cozy game lmao) but it's honestly a free for all cozy games where I may not agree with the general look of it, the feeling I get from playing it makes me think of it as a cozy game! Or maybe even an emotionally support game hehe ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

But either way, these games are like my emotional support games or games that make me flustered and happy when I play it. It brings me joy is what I'm saying and so I hope they also give you joy when you play some of the games I've put here~~ ( ̄y▽ ̄)╭ Ohohoho~~~

It's a pretty fun and cute game! The vibes are pretty nice and swell, and the art isn't too bad. It goes through super fast which is good since the replayability isn't that bad, especially when you want to see other version of Ch4r0n. There's now a walkthrough on how to get the different versions found below in the posts and it's pretty rewarding when you do get all of them (or at least uncover parts of them)!

It's pretty sweet and simple, but you really do find yourself having fun with it!

Did the girl you bullied summon a demon for revenge? or for something else?
Visual Novel

Honestly while I do have my gripes about this visual novel I do find the visuals of this quite lovely. I like where the story was intended to go but so far how it was written feels a little bit confusing to me. But with the elements the story has I found it quite entertaining and amusing to go through.

You were lost. Actually no, you were very lost. And now, you were face to face with a giant non-human creature.
Visual Novel

This is the cutest VN I've ever had the happiness of trying today. I kept smiling and giggling playing this VN so I assure you it is 100% WORTH PLAYING THROUGH! It's so sweet and funny reading through the banter and seeing chemistry done right because well, they're just so darn cute.

I also like how the story was played out in a way that balanced both the fantastical elements but also the focal point of blooming (hehe) romance between the two main characters. Also I'm a sucker for Huon's character design and his character set up. Just, ugh, I'm meltingggg

A very cute and quaint VN. Honestly I just love the calm vibes it gives me because well, it is that cute especially May who I just love reading the internal dialogue of.

When the whole kingdom expects you to kiss Snow-White... is there anything else you can do?

You know I find this really sweet. I think some people may find it annoying given how the Prince acts because it is a simple kiss, but to him and Snow it isn't just a kiss, it's a kiss that they feel that they have to do to verify their love which feels like a slap in the face to them because it implies they aren't in love until they prove themselves to others.

I just find it really sweet how in love the Prince is, but also how much he respects and cares for the relationship he cultivated with Snow. The music is a bit too loud but I don't mind it.

Honestly a cute and short visual novel. It's pretty slow paced but also short so the speed is perfect for the length. It also really focuses on telling a story with less words as possible but you still get the meaning behind it. Really love the mother and daughter bonding moments each time a new scene pops up.

It's honestly cozy with the atmosphere and story line. I relate to the homesickness and how fond Sonne is to his little family, I found the entire experience calming and soothing. I also adore the art and how engaging everything was without exhausting my eyes because of how cluttered it looks.

I also like how fun and engaging the conversations are, it isn't at all dull or boring so it was fun clicking around the compartment and exploring more about it. Highly recommend playing it!

Honestly I just really liked the overall visual novel itself. It has wonderful soothing art, the music wasn't so grating whenever it replayed and was quite fun to listen to, and the dialogue was so well written and engaging that I enjoyed reading about what was happening in the conversation.

Admittedly I don't know much about Elsword much less the character, but I found myself endeared by the character here and enjoyed my time playing through it and achieving the two endings. It's quite simple on how to get it especially with limited choices.

Highly recommend playing this one~!

A wholesome micro visual novel about a tired employee seeking rest in a magic forest.

Okay so THIS fits in the theme of cozy forest vibes, this time with your own cute little forest companion who gives you not just cuteness but also a soothing presence within your burnt out life. It's quite short, about 5 minutes for each route which is about 20 minutes and only has one ending. But the journey it takes you there is honestly quite enjoyable that also make cute little sounds!

It's also quite atmospheric with a lovely background and soothing atmosphere, highly encourage to try this out!

Talk with your insides to learn who you are inside

We all get that none of the traditional cozy games can be found here but in all honesty, I felt cozy playing this wacky VN like game. It deals with the topic of not fitting in and being accepted in an unorthodox manner but the message is quite touching. It made me remember my own time as a teenager (which wasn't that long but god did it feel far away) and struggling to find acceptance with others rather than myself. It's quite slow and doesn't contain much other than a meaningful message wrapped in chaos, so I feel as though this is easy to play through and enjoy on your own time.

Honestly the cutest friendship with a wholesome passionate lil bean. Lise talks about her passion in helping the world become a better place by focusing her attention on the environment. Instead of cleaning up litter (which is still important) she goes a step further and is making a biodiversity haven. The friendship between Lise, Solene, and Emil is very adorable and realistic between chill friends and overall gives a vibe of warmth and relaxation which is also a way to inspire you. The music is absolutely lovely and complements well with the tone and overall story.

Highly recommend to try it out~

Honestly such a cute little VN~!! The way Matilda acts can bring a smile to your face and the banter between the two is so natural and realistic in a sense, it really feels like they're just two people chatting even if one is dead. Highly recommend playing this~!

A short visual novel in which a vampire offers his help

You know the drill, many of these VNs that I put here don't traditionally fit the "cozy vibes" that many know, but to me personally this does. I think it's mainly because of the progression of the plot and how Silas (the character) handles the situation with a near dying MC.

I love how comforting he is, emphasizing with MC's pain, sharing how unfair it is, while also pitching his idea of helping MC so long as they can help him and his community of vampires that don't fit the stereotype of "pretty vampires" because their appearance isn't normal.

I highly recommend trying this VN out! Also because Silas' character design is so good, really brings a fresh look on how vampires usually are portrayed.

To be completely honest, it doesn't usually fit with the genre itself but hoenstly it has such a vibe to me that I love it. It's so well-polished and nothing sad ever happens, for such a short length it did well!

Honestly hilarious given how the actual canon of this visual novel is a yandere but in this non-canon version it's so wholesome and sweet. Very relaxing and soothing to be with, and not only that but the music, art, story, and voice acting all mesh well! Highly recommend trying it out and I don't think there really is no need to have background knowledge on what exactly is the actual story of Apples to Ashes. But if you are interested, the developer has a whole twitter and tumblr for it!

Honestly didn't expect to put this here because I already had some thoughts because of the Spooktober Jam but then I played it and holy fUCK MY HEART WAS PIERCED!

It's a healing story, with our poor MC (who I absolutely love because he's such a relatable bean, funny lil guy, dude who's just trying his best/chill, and very good ghosty best friend) suffering from realizing how he "wasted" his life and missing the people close to him. Upon going to the mansion where his grandparents used to live, he begins to learn how to be alive with so much chaos, absolutely adore it!

Highly recommend playing it!!

Picking an outfit for a dinner date is easier in theory.
Visual Novel

This is legitimately an adorable game. It has those pre-date nerves I assume everyone has felt once in their life and how cute Taylor is in being attentive to their lover's needs. Just seeing their wholesome healthy relationship is adorable and heart pain to me. I also like how each outfit shows different endings, while also taking into account how Taylor would help MC and how MC's feels about the outfit itself.

a cozy mature chat simulator
Visual Novel

For 18+ audiences!!!

Welp, I honestly didn't expect something that talked about sex to come here but the way the developer handled the topic and made it open while also showing interest in it made it very comfortable. The plot itself is simple and cute, with a charming lil client and quite an understanding (if you choose the right options) succubi whose aromantic! It's very cozy with lovable music, it isn't too crude but it does show a healthy representation of how someone wants to explore in the sexual side.

Don't be fooled by the title, it's genuinely a great little piece of work with MC (despite not taking a very active role) showing themselves to be beyond useful to many mascot characters but also forming a very realistic and fun bond with Rae. The progression is wonderful, albeit I wished it was longer, but since it is for a NaNoRenO the length itself is quite enough (in fact, quite long) and it told a cohesive and touching story! Highly recommend playing it!

What’s the worst that can happen at your new bakery job? Accidentally falling in love with your cute new boss?
Visual Novel

MY GOD THIS IS SUCH A CUTE GAME!!!

Our lovable MC is such a disaster and it's a wonder how he's managing but power to him. Not only that but the cast that show up are also full of life and such fun to be with, the actual process in baking with magic is very cool, sad to say that it ends a bit too quickly but it does show the mechanics and it's very good! The ending is also cute since it isn't just a cut to black then return to title, instead here it's very fun as we see a sort of epilogue and a continuation for more, or at least I hope so!

Highly recommend to play this!!

An Emotional Support Houseplant Simulator
Visual Novel

It deals with topics such as the pain of going through an adjustment period and feeling overworked and tired, I think everyone goes through it but in this visual novel we aren't the tiresome MC but the quiet dependent plant that stays in the background. I like the symbiotic relationship the plant has with Jo (our technical MC) though I feel we lack that connection other than being a narrator and bystander.

But other than that, it's a cozy soft game with beautiful writing, pretty art, heart wrenching story, and calming music for such a short period. Tis very good~!

A Violet Evergarden-inspired letter writing game.

Tis a cute lil typing game! I adore the aspects of being able to transcribe what the prompt wants us to do but also to just have fun with it! Though it did feel a bit short for me since I enjoyed it so much, I still think it's a fun game to destress and relax with yourself. It's quite immersive so I feel like I've been transported.

The only downside is that it's short, limited prompts, as well as limited papers. Yet despite that it's still fun and wholesome.

BROOOO! Even though it's short, it's so sweet and nice! I played as Sebastian and honestly, it's hilarious how clumsy and awkward he is. But not only that but I also like how we get to see other interpretations of the other Stardew Valley characters in the eyes of people who've known them far longer than the farmer (our original MC) did.

Also, I gotta say I adore the art and the depiction of MC. I'd be swooning for them too ahahaha~!

This was such an adorable Visual Novel with a really unique mechanic to it. The art is gorgeous and comfortable to look at, and the mechanic itself with the Ghost Whisperer is really fun and easy to use. The stories within it, while short, are sweet and kind since it briefly touches on the different reasons why people still hold on to "life" even in death. (That and the main character looks like Twilight Sparkle from MLP and she's my favorite pony there hehehe). Make sure to give this one a lot of love!

They're in the walls... THEY'RE IN THE WALLS

Absolutely cute and short! Just the way MC was chill but also reasonably disturbed and rational. But like, come on, we're all simps here for people who actually treat us with respect and love.

Underfell??? In a cozy game list??? It's more likely than you think--

But kidding aside, the actual reason I put Underfell here wasn't because I returned to my undertale phase but because of the premise. It follows true to the original storyline of what undertale is like (tho not that detailed) but more in the style of Underfell. And while yes, there is violence and player death (seems typical of it) there is also the aspect of how the MC (or Frisk) is a kind individual who will not fight. And though it may be annoying to some to me, it made me remember what Underfell is actually about. It's not a violence filled world, while yes it started that way, but in the end it was a world deprived of freedom and isolated for so long, and that can take a toll on people. And kindness itself is needed to heal and help these traumatized people.

It may be my biased because I always choose the kind route, but rather than fight things willy nilly when there's a chance to just talk and learn about the other person, I'd rather take it over hurting someone and never knowing.

UPDATE!

So it's finally finished! The main part of the story has thus been concluded but it seems as though the developer is going to add more romantic routes and what seems to be more snippets of the monsters and MC's life above the ground! Everything leading up to the climax is so *chef's kiss* and I positively adore all of the interaction and the emotional journey I went through.

Highly recommend to play it! Especially when it's finished with extra stuff!

A dare to a haunted house? Why isn’t it scary? Why is it trying to be nice?
Visual Novel

Aaaa it's been so long since I last put something here to enjoy~! But yes, this visual novel, while only having Day 1, is absolutely cute and lovely. The art is really good and the story is laid back and fun, nothing too much on it but enough substance to keep you hooked in which is great. Really looking forward to its progression!

Visual Novel

I will be very honest, I am down bad for Lucas and his design. Like, this isn't fair, why must he be so soft and warm??? For a stand alone game it doesn't feel enoughhh though that's more on me because I really adored the style and design of the visual novel. The creator also did say they would like to create a series where MC is being pampered by differnet men in different scenarios and honestly?? I'm all up for it, especially because of how university is burning a hole through me...

This was such an adorable cute visual novel! The characters here are visually appealing and their various personalities make such an interesting relationship dynamic when paired with Marzipan, our MC. Speaking of her, I love how awkward and shy she can be, but also how she will put herself out there despite knowing she's embarrassed and afraid, I love how adorable it is and with the various relationship dynamics that are formed throughout the endings we collect! It's a non-serious but casual visual novel that I truly enjoy!

A fully voiced bickering-and-bantering rivals-to-lovers visual novel <3
Visual Novel

This is honestly a great visual novel. The music was so on point and atmospheric that it felt wonderful to have it in the background, the mini hacking games are interesting and pose a challenge but even if you fail them the game continues on, the aesthetic and design of this visual novel is so on point that I absolutely love to stare at the entire thing and just bask at how amazing it all looks, there is also a lot of details and care that was put into this visual novel such as the little notes when you save, load, or quit for any of that, and of course, the crown of this visual novel, the actual love interest, Micah Yujin.

Micah is truly a fun person to interact with, and while the MC can be harsh with their teasing, Micah bears it so shamelessly well that their dynamic is truly hilarious. Not only that, but Micah is such an endearing character with his jokes, words, and how overall personality that you get the feeling of wanting to interact with him more. Not only that, but his voice actor did such a wonderful job voicing him that you can truly feel the intentions that they are trying to convey, and it's really fun to listen to his voice narrating the stupidest and funniest things Micah says. There are also fun things to do even after the story ends (for now, there are other days that are planned out which is exciting!!) and that's for you to uncover and have fun.

Highly recommend it! It's really worth all that hype I saw before but I was sadly too lazy to join in ahahaha~!
