I literally logged back on to itch.io after almost a year JUST to add this to my collection.
Even though the original dev halted development on the OG release, this version actually is STILL being updated, even to this day. And it makes sense, considering this game is...well, if you thought that "game inside a game inside a game" thing from earlier on my list was a mindf*ck, then you, my good friend, have not seen this absolute GEM of a game yet.
How does this work so well...?
An interactive story about dealing with anxiety.
While I don't suffer from anxiety disorder, I do have both ADHD and Autism, and that's quite the lethal combination, so I can see where the creator is coming from.
This is "Mindfuck: The Game", and the guy who made this game has SEVERAL more of them that'll turn your brain to mush (in a good way!).
Never been a fan of rhythm games, but for FNF, I can make an exception.
This game has a modding community which is SURPRISINGLY large for a game of its' type, and some of those mods are INCREDIBLY well-made, to the point where I'm actually questioning HOW some of them are actually made sometimes.
