I would like to invite writers to collaborate with me in an experimental narrative game enterprise. A substantial portion of the World has been designed, as have the characters. I mainly wish to put writers in the position of actors, roleplaying as various characters in situations which I shall prescribe according to the development of the game.

While I do not doubt your autonomy as an author, keep in mind that often our best work comes out of contribution to another’s vision, and if reading is to be a communal experience then writing should be, too.

Story
A college girl, Trisha May Lucerne, longs for romantic company to repair the lack of colors in her life. The thing is, the hookup culture in the college she studies in is a rough-and-tumble one, and she fails to snag the company she likes. Things then take an interesting turn when a teacher she works as an assistant for, Mary Teresa Salgadowsky, falls for her; and she also has her own emotional baggage that needs to be repaired, too.

Fake Synopsis: (Someone help us come up with the fake Synopsis)

Real Synopsis: Eiichi has been friends with Takehito and Minami for 5 years. Takehito and Minami is the definition of the perfect couple. Eiichi wants to try to also have a perfect relationship like them. After 5 years of breakups and misfortune, He becomes envious of them. Eiichi decides to find the reasoning of why they're so perfect.. and to even find dirt on them so he could break them up and feel happier. After finding what he needed, he discovered something highly disturbing about Minami. Minami isn't his girlfriend.. it's his sister!! And not only that Takehito made her do things she didn't want to and brainwashed her to become his girlfriend. Eiichi was caught and soon trapped under the basement of Takehito and Minami's home. Takehito's true side has came out! Eiichi has 5 days to get out or Takehito will brutally murder him for learning about his secret. Will Eiichi will get away or will he succumb to a horrible untimely death.

NaNoRenO 2020 Applications

If you have any interest or knowledge in Greek Mythology, we will be working under that premise, specifically the Hymn of Demeter.  

Currently, I am looking for:

• Artists (Character Sprites/CGs, GUI, Backgrounds)
• Musicians
• Writers (Route Writing, Editing/Proof Reading)
• Programmers (Scripters/Coders, Playtesters)

*Please keep in mind when applying as a coder that we will be using TyranoBuilder for the platform as it is what I am most familiar with at this time! You will need to own your own copy of Tyranobuilder only if you are a CODER! You won't be coding alone as I can help if you have trouble, but I am still learning myself.

There will of course be changes to the myth since our MC will be added. Her name is Aella and the two love interests we will be looking at are Zeus and Hades. Depending on how well the planning goes and if the scripting gets finished fast enough, we may seek voice actors in the end. This is not definite!

Sprites/CGs: I can kind of draw myself, but not well. The dystopian story I could probably get away with not using sprites, though the total important character list is probably going to be around 6-8 (though chances are only 4 would be in CGs).  Backgrounds I can composite edit from stock, though that doesn't really make for the best looking stuff (not that that matters for a game jam) I'm pretty decent at making UI assets on my own, though.

Coding: I can do enough coding to get by, but I'm still not at the point where I can figure out how to write long lines of it. ) The dystopian story I'm leaning towards having a morality and simple quest or chapter system. It'll probably be using renpy (though I'm using cloudnovel right now due to working off of two different computers and I'd like to get a good working visual done as soon as possible)

I'm the writer and designer and will be doing the bulk of the coding in Ren'py. I already have a sprite artist. 

Ideally, I would like to pick up:

-UI art/scripting

-Composer (synthpunk or afro-futuristic)

-ancillary coder in Ren'py, someone I can split some of the scripting with and help with QA
