But I suppose it kind of boils down to how liberal we can be with the mechanics. What makes a clicker game? When is something considered incremental? Is is just supposed to be limited to minimal actions?

I'm wondering if this would be allowed for the final submitted version (all it does is pop up a confirmation box and close when you push escape again)

I think..... this question was already answered when filters were mentioned in another topic but I have never used filters before so I am not really sure what they do.

1. Can you use tweening effects to fade sprites in and out? During the tween effect things will have lots of different shades of grey. For example having a button hidden but then tweening in the transparency of the button to show that it has been unlocked.

2. Can you have sprites that stay in a faded effect to show some status? For example in a clicker type RPG you might have one monster with a 50% opacity to show it is stunned. Another example is a disabled sprite button to show that it is temporarily disabled.

Anyone else using Construct for this gamejam? Personally I'd love to get more out of this in the way of learning some new skills but one way I do it is by helping others.

I've been using Construct for a while and have made some clicker prototypes previously. Would love to share tips if anyone is really stuck and doesn't know where to start.

Great idea, looking forward to joining in!

Quick question though, the rules state that we're only allowed to use mouse controls (Left, Right, center button and wheel up/down)... are there any limits to touch controls on iOS and Android? Should I limit touch controls to single tap (double tap, maybe?) and finger touch swipes - in other words, no multi-touch?

Cheers.
