I was wondering: is there a recommended method to startup without having a Benny Hill’s style of chase?

Some of the initial difficulty seems to choose the right enemy until level 3, then gets more downhill; there is little gameplay when the first thing that visits you is a unicorn :-)

Open Door: Hit “y” or “Y”button and select adjacent Door Tile.
Drinking Water: When near water, hit “u” button.

Replenish Stamina: Hit “r” button.

Replenish Fatigue: Hit the “R” button or select the “Tent” icon above quickslot bar.

Beds: When near a bed, the icon for bed will appear in the “Items Nearby” window/pop-up. You will replenish Health/Stamina/Fatigue very quickly, instead of without a bed.

Butchering: Keep an eye on the quickslot bar, above it will show additional buttons when your PC will be able to do certain actions, like butchering. Go near a corpse and look for the button to appear. I’m not sure where butchered items in your inventory go, they are like socks in the wash.

Home base: You don’t start in a home base, it may be a farmers hut, an Inn, a gnomes cellar, bar cave, etc. Find a place you can slowly clear out the surrounding mobs. Quickly find a source of water, stones and lastly food. The map is static, and stays the same, I believe, so find an area you can handle and make your way toward that position as soon as possible, to set up a home base.
Spoiler (semi): There are very, very advantageous places to set up your home base. Water source and some crafting tables/furnishings is a plus.

Just saw the new update (0.2.5) and downloaded the full game so I would be at recent update (v0.2.5).  Is there a way to update without a full install? I don´t use the itch.io app which auto-updates your games, so I do it manually. That´s one of the reasons I buy games from Itch.io, so I don´t need apps like Steam and such.

I have a bandage in my inventory, the skill is in the skills book, and I have lost health. How do I use the bandage? There's no use button in the inventory. The skills window doesn't seem to let me use it either.

Please, I just purchased the full game a few minutes ago. Is there some way to make the direction your character walks persistent, meaning that left will always be left no matter which direction the character is looking? Maybe a way to move where clicking the mouse brings the character toward the tile? Anything of that sort would be greatly appreciated. Right now I feel goofy like I can't even walk straight.

Also, I have to drop it in order to use it. Can't we keep the whetstone in its own place in our inventory where it can't be dropped and we can use it without dropping it? I hate going out and not having something to repair my stuff with.

Can't I make a campfire or something so I can use it to cook with? I'm in a village and it has everything but a workbench and a place to cook. I can't create either?

Love the game otherwise!

(alternatively, maybe it may just come down to the low contrast between font color and background color in some instances? getting old sucks yall)

Is this a feature to be added in later or am I missing something?

So I almost reached Level 25, I think I killed everyone important and did uncover all the important regions... yet it feels like, I'm missing something... there are still some uncovered but probably unreachable places in the capital, near the palace... are they still under construction? Is there a secret passage I should look out for? Some evil ritual I have to perform with dead cats on a forest altar? Will new entities be generated later, to keep a minimum  of people around? As a Vampire I am worried about my future, as I will eventually run out of bloody corpses.  It would be a sad ending for a Vampire Half-God, starving to death. I dream of a Bloodbank, somewhere underneath the capital, with unlimited supply...! When modding is available, I will definitely put that into the game. Plus a straw and a cocktail glass, for maximum joy. Cheers!

I'm stuck in the first region though, and there's no indication how to advance to the next region.

There's a sign pointing to the Yelling Mountains, but you can't get there through just walking on the road.

Any hints or help?
