Why not just have it so you can make your own custom robots instead of relying on suggestions? Want a mint jetpack bot that summons robots whilst speeding around? Done and done. What about a Green Fleet Captain that can block every arrow you shoot? Consider it complete. Looking for a basic pink mark 1 sword robot that's completely defenseless? Right this way! The possibilities, could be nigh-endless! Simply take any of the existing robot models, give them upgrades, give them a preferred color, size and speed and then top it off with a name, and boom! You now have a new robot to play around with. Of course these bots could even be included in challenges and endless mode levels, automatically being given a calculated difficulty score (how endless mode determines what robot arrangements are in what tier) based on their model, upgrades and such, and can then be used to your heart's content, or to the content of others if you decide to share it publicly. Easy, Squeeze, lemon human life!


    Here's a little conceptual image I made just to sort of, give an example of what I mean. Of course this could easily be elaborated on or what not, and hey! That's just more replay value in the end, so nothing wrong with that. And with that, this concludes the base concept of my idea, any suggestions I'm all ears to hear.

    After finally getting to play the latest CDITDZ version, I think I'll do a review on it.

    Story Mode chapter 4: it was awesome, the mind transfer gimmick was very interesting, and not insanely overpowered as I thought it would be when first revealed, the boss battle was pretty cool (Except for Mind Space, Mind Space can burn in Hell), I have some criticism, though:

    - Mind Space, he is very hard to hit, even for the command bots, and just runs around shooting at you, occasionally deploying a flamethrower that is basically unavoidable if you're missing a leg, the other command bots were fine, however.

    - The no gravity section, strangely, has gravity for kicks, the first thing I wanted to test was if I could kick a robot and make them float away into oblivion, I am disappointed.

    - The no gravity section has massive areas with absolutely no action, just slowly walking towards enemies and hoping not to get sniped before you get to them.

    - Needs more Spidertron, although, I do get it, inside a ship, can't quite risk explosives.


    The spear (and shield): I think it is my new favorite weapon, definitely Difficult, but Awesome to use. The shield makes you an absolute tank, and charging enemies with it feels amazing. The spear is VERY difficult to hit anything with, but thanks to a little, barely noticeable crosshair (thanks, Erik), you can kind of aim with it, it as also very quick, but has the power to lop heads off with a single strike, very deadly against armor, since you can hit unarmored regions of robots with it. Again, some criticism:

    - The crosshairs that I mentioned before, it is very small, and blends way too much with the environment, it's easier to go with trial and error than to use it, plus, it is not exactly accurate.

    - I feel like, sometimes, the spear just phases through enemies without damaging them, it makes me sad.

    - I found myself losing my shield quite frequently, I don't know if I'm just very (un)lucky or if it's a problem with its collision detection.

    - Y U NO DEFLECT ARROWS III W/ SHIELD. I mean, at least have it as an unlockable upgrade. Or not.

    I might have suggested this before, but, still, I can suggest stuff, can't I?


    ANTICHEAT


    If any of you have seen me do Forum RPs or things like that, you've probably seen me talk about SWAR (Special Weapons and Robots) and PURGE (Primary Urgency Robotic Galactical Enforcement), yeah, I like cool acronyms, so, lets get straight to the point, if the game detected some sort of manual editing of the files (AKA fancy name for cheating), special dialogue would play:


    (Commentatron) Analysis-Bot, I'm detecting anomalies on Upgrade-Bot's systems, it seems like the human... hacked it.

    (Analysis-Bot) Doesn't the human know that hacking Upgrade-Bot is illegal? Good thing we have comm links to the SWAR and the PURGE!


    After that, the human's occupation would instantly change to "Hacker", but nothing else would change, after getting on the elevator, two ships with logos that I'm going to make later appear, from the first one, SWAR troops drop and start attacking/trying to arrest the human. If the human survived long enough, PURGE troops would start coming, they would both be deadly, with PURGE being more aggressive and precise, and SWAR tankier and trigger-happy, both would be really intelligent, jump-dodging human swipes and switching to swords only to deflect arrows, they would also have rifles, or other weapons I make later, anyways, they won't stop spawning until the human runs out of clones, leaving and resetting wouldn't do anything, when the human's finally killed, another special dialogue:

    (Commentatron) That shall serve as an example to the humans.

    (Analysis-Bot) If another one of them tries to hack, the same thing will happen.

    Extra evil touch, if the system detects a certain amount of cheat attempts, all robots, in Story, Twitch, Challenge, and Endless mode would double, and the player would be greeted to this message on the menu screen.

    (Emperor) Seems like the human doesn't know how to fight well... what if we make things harder so it can learn?

    And the only way to deactivate that would be to actually learn, and get to level 20 on Endless, WITH doubled enemies, what a way to punish cheaters... am I right?


    Regular, no cheat gameplay

    SWAR and PURGE robots would rarely appear in Diamond and Titanium, due to their abilities. There would be different models of those:


    SWAR Trooper/PURGE Striker: Regular SWAR/PURGE robots, they carry plasma rifles that fire a long-ranged, fast version of Spidertron Grenade Fragments, which are unblockable, but have a smaller PTK than arrows, they fire in bursts of 5 shots (Strikers fire in bursts of 7), then wait until they fire the next burst.

    SWAR Flanker/PURGE Chaser: Their alternative to Jetpack Interceptors, they have double shortswords, and stick one on each side when dashing, if their right arm is cut off, they can still fight! Both are slightly faster than Jetpack Bots, and the PURGE version can turn on a dime.

    SWAR Breacher/PURGE Wrecker: A much better version of a Hammer Enforcer, their hammers swing slightly faster, but are only in MK2 size, the PURGE version has a short burst Jetpack to close in on targets.

    SWAR Torcher/PURGE Breather: Those are deadly robots that seem like better Kick Bots at first, but pack an extra punch, they can breath fire, and their energy recharge is faster than possible with upgrades (About 3 seconds between each breath), the PURGE version's fire lingers on the ground for a while.

    Spidertron X: The SWAR's version of Spidertrons, it walks around, and has a turret on the underside that shoots at nearby targets, the grenade lobber is replaced by two impact grenade launchers on each side of its head, it's similar to a Spidertron-5000 in shape.

    Spidertron PURGE: The PURGE's version of Spidertron was specifically designed to do what its name says: purge human settlements, they are Spidertron 6000 variants that have projectile shields, that destroy any arrows or bullets that touch it, the grenade lobber is similar to 6000's, but it shoots 3 grenades in a V-pattern at once, 4 times, equalling 12 grenades per lobbing, it also has an underside turret, but this one shoots lingering fire bullets instead of regular bullets, unlike his SWAR cousin, it can't walk.



    I'll probably add more to this topic later, but, until then, this is what I've got, if you want to contribute with a model or a logo idea, have fun!

Here some examples:

    1. Speedrun Challenge: You will have to finish the level in a specific time, you can evaluate the time maybe by writing a code that counts the enemies and their average defeat time and summarizes the Result with just a few extra seconds and then puts up the timer in the level.

    2. No-Hit Challenge: You will face a hard level maybe with many bow-robots and try not getting hit by any arrows and that's the idea for this challenge just some ranged units in a small space.

        3.Parkour Challenge: You will get two paths to choose, one is the parkour the other the normal level and if you kill maybe a garbage bot that waits at the end of the parkour you win the challenge.

    These are just some ideas for challenges, these Challenges could really spice the Endless-mode up a bit and maybe in Twitch-mode the viewers get to vote on a challenge for the streamer. So this is the end of my post I hope you take this idea in consideration and thank you for reading!

    These would be similar to the hammer in that they would have a windup, and be unable to block arrows. However, a great sword would be bigger (Default maybe the Overseer) and slice multiple enemies in rows, instead of shattering or slicing one.


    Noxious Gas.

    This gas would basically corrode the player, but only slowly- They could run through a small cloud and have no damage, or jet pack through a field of it. It could be emitted by a modified smoke machine, and possibly a new Spider-Tron.


    Bombs.

    This is a popular idea, but could there be a way for the player to throw bombs? Maybe have explosive arrows?


    Arrows.

    With a certain upgrade, the player would sacrifice his ability to rotate arrows to switch them, possibly from:

    Fire arrows. We know these.

    Beam arrows. These are much, MUCH faster traveling, but smaller and can’t be set alight. They also cost lots more energy.

    Explosive arrows. These explode where they touch, and a possible upgrade could make them spawn a few bombs as well, like ST-6K.

    Homing arrows. The homing effect would be subtle, but enough to correct near misses. Also targets ST eyes, Raptor... flame bags, and various kill zones with an upgrade.


    Flame Armor.

    With an upgrade, armor repels flames from all but actual lava, making it tougher and actually useful again Raptors.


    Hammer Upgrades.

    Possibly some upgrades to reduce winding time slightly?


    Select level play.

    The capability to select and play any Workshop level independently of waiting for it through Endless.


    Remixing.

    For either modifying levels for personal use, or publishing specially-tagged levels to the Workshop, remixing allows you to open the Level Editor with a certain map loaded, and edit it or see how it works. If published, this could be another Workshop tag.


    Better Editor.

    Don’t get me wrong,  I love the editor, but I think there are definitely some improvements to be made. 

    For example, making ‘moving’ another checked box for all ‘basics’ items, as well as windows etc. This way, it’s easier to make a pre-placed item move, and lets people have sliding glass doors or moving ramps. This would also fix a minor bug, where no moving platforms can be ‘classic Red.’

    Also, removing the 20-enemy limit. I love sequential kill-this-wave levels, but I feel they’re limited due to the ban. I get why you did it, but it’s still too easy to enemy-spam. (Pro tip: Butcher your game with 20 simultaneous Overseers).

    Wall color changing. I like the basic arena, but when I try to make office levels, I have to carefully realign walls to cover up the Grey walls and red banners. If we could change the wall color/type or even remove them altogether, that would be great.


    Beam bots.

    These bots would hold a massive, underarm cannon that shoots the Fleet Overseer’s beam. However, instead of a slow track and the line, these bots would directly chase the player, aiming for the floor right behind it 0.3 seconds ago (or however long is balanced).


    Armor Dispensers for Editors.

    In Sotry mode, I loved the new levels, but I also really enjoyed the armor dispensers (and playing as businessmen! Other feature idea?) and how they offered in-level reapplication, possibly for before a boss battle.


    I highly doubt this’ll even be read, but if it is, thanks! I hope some of these ideas don’t go unheard!

       Description: Destroy the enemy bot in Duel mode by kicking it on the trap.
    8. Name: Sniper Shot
       Description: In the "Duel" mode, shoot the opponent's hand using an onion.
    9. Name: Rabbit Battles
       Description: In the "Duel" mode, destroy the enemy in the air from the sword / hammer in the air.
    10. Name: Multi kill
        Description: Destroy four opponents with one attack.
    11. Name: Lonely warrior
        Description: Complete 30 levels of infinite mode without using clones.

    Scythe/Axe:

    You will perform an attack in a long, wide range 120/240/360 degrees at lvl 1/2/3

    Vertical slash will be just a slash from back to front (180 degrees).

    Only blade can kill someone, hit with handle will only knock off an enemy for a very short time.

    Of course it cant block arrows.

    Spear/Pike

    +higer attack speed

    +longer range

    +usefull vs jetpack bots

    i. you can hold an attack (like when using jetpack)

    i. upgrades will increase its range and the size of the blade

    -you can deal damage only with a blade, flagstaff will not deal damage

    -no horizontal slash, repleaced with spear thrust but at angle of 45degrees

    -cant block arrows

    I have quite a few suggestions here, so read on if you have the time!

    (Warning: Some of these I have taken from other people's ideas, and added my own twist to them)

    Enemies:

    DarkBot / InvisiBot: Robot that spawns with a random weapon. Is completely black except for pure white eyes. When you get a certain distance from it, your field of vision is shortened to only a few paces in front of you. The rest is pure black. The only thing visible through the dark fog is DarkBot's White eyes, light swords, arrows and fire weapons.

    StatueBot / JetpackBot Mark 3: Looks like an all dark grey version of a mark3 SwordBot. Holds two swords at a time. Each sword can move interdependently to the other. Does not move when it is visible to the player's vision. When it is not visible on screen, it has a Jetpack and can boost at 50% faster than default Jetpack. Has unique sword motion, only available for this robot: a stabbing motion. Jetpacks behind you and will stab you through the chest or decapitate you without you knowing. Spawns in a random position. Freezes in whatever position it is in when player's robot sees it. Does not have a jetpack cool down.

    LionBot: Robot shaped as a lion. Jumps twice as high as player. Uses front legs to claw at player and can bite at player. Can jump on player and knock them off Balance. Has teeth and claws made of light sword material. Can be a fire version as well.

    HydraBot: A snake-like robot that when sliced in half, creates a clone of itself, unless the head is destroyed. Has Flame Breath. Has little flame spikes on it's back.

    SpiderTron7000: Has 6 legs. Has 3, smaller eyes. Two grenade towers. Shoots 8 bombs at a time. Four from each tower, six normal bombs, two shrapnel bombs (explained below) fires bombs sets twice as fast as Spidertron6000. Can walk around. If any robot is stepped on by one of the legs, has the same effect as a light sword. Cannot jump. AI tells it not to walk on jump pad, spikes, saw blade, lava etc, etc.

    SpiderTron7500 / Fire SpiderTron: Is the same as SpiderTron7000, except that it launches Fire Bombs (explained Below) at the same rate.

    SpiderTron8000: Has 8 legs and 4, even smaller eyes which are half the size of SpiderTron6000. Three grenade towers. Two facing forward, under the main body, one facing upwards. Shoots 12 bombs at a time. Four from each tower, 6 normal bombs, 4 shrapnel bombs (explained below) 2 fire bombs (explained below). Launches bomb sets twice as fast as SpiderTron6000. Can walk around. If any robot is stepped on by one of the legs, has the same effect as a light sword, except for the front two, which have the fire sword effect. Cannot jump. AI tells it not to walk on jump pad, spikes, saw blade, lava etc, etc.

    Mark 2 Raptors:  More fire from their mouth and a more powerful tail swipe. Maybe they could have some of the flame sword voxels instead of the normal ones for their Teeth, Spikes and Claws? These flame Voxels would act as a sword, too. (say if you swung at it with a sword, and you hit the flame spikes, say, your sword would clash off it like it were another sword) if you walked on top of these flame voxels, your feet would catch on fire.

    Baby Raptors: Normal Raptors, except that they are 1/4 the size of normal Raptors. They are faster than the adult Raptors, but have a much smaller flame breath range. Their tail swipe should only be able to knock you down for a second, but due to their size, it could be the last mistake you do with that drone.

    Brute Bot: A Robot which carries a level one Hammer (colour: Black) and a Large sword (look below). Each weapon can move independently. Shoots out a random Bomb (Normal, Shrapnel, Fire) every now and then. I think that this model here, done by Skylure, works with it nicely. (She has it labeled as Heavy Drone / Cannon Drone) Otherwise serves as JacobMikeR's Version

    TurretBot: An immovable robot, with a thick base. Has a rotating head at the top, which blasts a constant stream of Shrapnel (like the ones from the current SpiderTron Bomb) at the player.  It's weak point is it's shooting head, which will explode (like SpiderTron or a Raptor) when hit.

    Upgrades:

    Heal: Upgrade branch from Clone. When dealt a killing blow, your body pixel will fall apart and then rejoin back together, making you the same as you were before you were hit. You will be unable to be damaged for 1 second after. Any enemy robot(s) near you will be disabled for half a second. Can only be used once per level. Can only be used 5 times.  Only works when level is active.

    Possess: Upgrade branch from Heal. When you die and have no clones, allows you to take over the enemy robot closest to you. You cannot do this again if you die in the taken body. Once you get another clone, and die in the taken body, you may use this ability again. Can only be used 3 times per Human.

    Mind Control: Upgrade branch from Possess. When R is pressed the closest enemy robot will turn teams and kill all other robots that are not itself and the player. The mind controlled robot will explode as soon as all other robots are dead (if it didn't already die). Can only be used once per level.

    PetBot: Branch upgrade from Mind Control. Allows you to get a small robot dog that follows the player around and attacks the closest enemy. Takes off max of 5 pixels. Can jump the same height as the player. Robots target Petbot only if it attacks them. Every clone after the this upgrade is selected has one PetBot. Cannot have more than one Petbot at the same time, unless you died but your Petbot did not.

    Baby Raptors: Can be gotten as a companion. Is a branch off of PetBot.

    Raptor Mount:  Upgrade Branch from Baby Raptors, and costs two Upgrade Points. Controls as normal. WASD to move, left to use weapon. F to use flame breath, and right click for tail swipe. If you are somehow dis-mounted from your Raptor, you could use something like middle-mouse click button to hop back on, if it is still alive.  The Raptor would also have a fully maxed energy bar, which is separate from yours.

    Grenade Launcher: Is a gun, shaped like the Spidertron's grenade tower. Rests over the robot's dominant shoulder. Level 1 throws normal bombs, level 2 launches shrapnel bombs (which insta-kill you if caught in blast radius) and level 3 throws Fire Bombs (when the fire bomb explodes, a smaller version of the Spidertron explosion animation will show, and will set any robot caught in the blast on fire). To active the Grenade Launcher by pressing 4. Z and X keys to swap through bomb types. only have a limited amount of Bombs, and more can be gotten from UpgradeBot in exchange for an Upgrade Point.

    Larger Sword: an Upgrade for a lager sword. I love the model by Skylure, on this page here (First sword when scrolling down) this sword would be slower than the normal one.

    Ground Pound: A Hammer Upgrade. When the hammer hits the ground (or another surface) an array of semi-transparent yellow voxels (like the armour plates) will force themselves up in a temporary wall, which repels all robots, arrows, bombs, fire, etc, etc.  in the direction the player is facing. These voxels fly upwards, spinning, and will fall back down vanishing as they hit the ground. The Voxels only exist for about 1.5 seconds.

    Controls:

    Duck: Press Q to duck. When using WASD and Q will do a shoulder roll in that direction. SPACE and Q makes the player do a flip in mid air. WASD+SPACE and Q makes player do a leaping dive in the WASD direction, and roll upon landing.

    Traps:

    Molten Metal: Like lava. Robots can walk through it, but at half the normal pace. Adds random pixels onto the robot, majorly reducing sensitivity. If in metal for too long the robot will no longer be able to move. Has a dark red or grey colour. The Molten Metal voxels added to the robots will slowly rust off. The voxels would be effected by gravity, and fall to the round and make a pile of random voxels

    Molten Metal Thrower: Like the Fire trap, but it throws molten metal. Cannot face upwards. Adds random pixels onto the robot, majorly reducing sensitivity. If in metal for too long the robot will no longer be able to move. The Molten Metal voxels added to the robots will slowly rust off. The voxels would be effected by gravity, and fall to the round and make a pile of random voxels.

    Other:

    More details for humans are shown on the board. Like their gender, Left/Right Handed, where they lived. (left handedness is a 5% chance)

    Humans have a 5% chance of their Robot being left handed. (in direct correlation to their info board stats)

    SpiderTron4000 models in garbage storage.

    Explosions have a small (10%) chance of setting the player on fire if caught in the blast and, will knock over any bots within the blast radius

     If a Bot walks into the trail of flame from a jetpack boot, there should be a chance of the bot catching on fire.

    If two Hammers collide mid-swing, then some of the normal voxels with be broken off of each Hammer.

(Sorry I don't have pictures, but I can't seem to upload them somehow) Both the Mk 1 and Mk 2 brute have Mk 2 archer AI, and they both are slower than hammer-bots, and twice the size of a Mk 1 sword-bot. When they aim their giant cannon, (Left hand) they stop moving, wait a few seconds, and fire. The Mk 1 fires three of the same projectiles, each at different speeds. One at arrow speed, one at twice arrow speed, and one at three times arrow speed. The Mk 2 fires a single projectile that sends out "mini" versions of itself when it detonates.  There will be more brutes coming soon!

    How about bugger sword upgrades? Leading up to something like Dark Souls greatswords. Since damage isn't based on the weapon, it would just increase the range, but that's still an extremely useful upgrade.

    Here are examples that I came up with:

    • [No name given]: Chapter 1 and 2 (and 3 when it's added ofc). This one is pretty simple, we already have achievements for completing the challenges, so, why not when you complete a chapter?
    • Return To Sender: Kill an archer with its own arrow by deflecting it.
    • Friendly Fire: Make an enemy kill another enemy for you
    • Robot Killer: Kill a specified amount of robots(not including garbage bots and your own clones). Different achievements/tiers for killing different amounts, for example: Scrap Collector(at 25 robot kills), Cleanup Service Worker(at 50), Robot Killer(100), Robot Slaughterer(250), Robot Murderer(500), Robot Assassin(750), Robot Serial Killer(1,000), Robot Eliminator(1,500), Robot Terminator(2,500), Commentatron is Impressed!(3,500), Analasys-bot is Impressed!(5,000), The Emperor Is Noticing Your Existence!(7,500), The Emperor Is Impressed!(10,000), and finally, The Emperor Is Very Impressed!(25,000)
    • Human: 1, Challenges: 0: Pretty simple, complete all challenges and you get this achievement.
    • Spider-tron-5000 Can't Be Hurt By Inferior Technology!: Kill a spider tron 5000 with sawblades/fire and prove them wrong!
    • You ain't getting a new one!: Kill one of your own clones
    • Maximum Robot Achieved!: Get every single upgrade possible in the game(excluding clones and repair)
    • Completionist: Get every single achievement in the game(excluding this one ofc)

    That's it, again, I know the game is still in early development, but some more achievements would add a lot more replayability(which it already has quite a lot of tbh), but, this is just my personal opinion on the matter.

    The achievement names could easily be changed, these were just the names i came up with on the spot.

    Also, if you're gonna leave a comment, please don't spoil chapter 3 for me ok? I want to experience it blind(aka not knowing anything about it)

    P.S. Is there a more precise date for when chapter 3 comes out, the steam page just says mid-September. Which isn't bad in itself, but it'd be nice to have a more precise date :3

Because my idea is to make an electro version of them, if you get hit by their weapons you get more damaged than a normal sword and you get stunned (both because of the electricity). And then make a challenge of it, if you win the challenge, you will be able to get a upgrade that you get the ability to reach out with your hand and shoot lightning bolts that does damage and stuns your enemies. And a new trap, if you walk on it, it will count down to 0, and when it reaches 0 you get electrified. That was all of my idea, hope you like it!

    I'd really like for the game to acknowledge when I manage to kill an enemy with one hit without misses.

    Basically I build up a combo point [X1] every time I hit and kill and the streak ends the first time I miss, there could be a pop-up (with the option to disable it if it's not your thing so  it won't be intrusive) at the end of the level that tells me my combos and "Perfect game!" if I managed to never miss. Or maybe the commentators could say something.

    I'm sure I'll keep loving the game anyway :)

Whole time I felt  "immobile" meaning that I have to use limited attack paterns in order to don't get my face smashed too quick :P. The idea is simple 1st: use more buttons (for example use a mid. mouse button for thrust attack)
    2nd: combos (just left and right slashes isn't enough ,for me at least :P).

    Also same attacks can be used by bots making combat more deadly and intense.

It starts to execute the attack immediately when you entered the arena, and then only after three seconds after reloading. But if you think that you can just take and kill from a bow, it is not so... With a 40% chance he can pull a saw out of the traps and break out your boom, it looks pretty epic! But if no drinking, then a 25% chance he can turn your arrow the other way, but it doesn't hurt if you yourself are under it will not rise, but it can hurt the enemy bots. After protection from arrows too, there is a charge of approximately 4-7 seconds. And Yes, I want it made pink...

I could see someone making the robots knights or googly eyes for the bots or something like that. Tell me what you think about this down below, puny humans... Also I think that it should be addable to all robots, should be cuttable (cut his hat in two!) and would happen randomly (lets say you got a starwars mod and a mod for hats, If your human spawns as a jedi or sith (depends on the creator) then there are stormtroopers and such, but if you get a normal human or one with a hat, then the robots can randomly have hats (like a round with two mark 1 bow robots and three mark 2 sword robots and one bow robot and sword robot get a hat) DO YOU GET IT?)

Upgraded lasers could have a green fire which would also slow down the robot. You could also choose to charge or just shoot a laser. OR EVEN MAKE THE ROBOT GET ZOMBIFIED SO HE FIGHTS FOR YOU AND GETS CARRIED AWAY BY THE GARBAGE BOT AT THE END OF THE ROUND (FINAL UPGRADE). ALSO SLOWING UPGRADES
