For reference, the following (poorly shopped) Frame:


A MED // NERVE with:

  • Light Reactor
  • Stun Needle
  • Ultra Thruster
  • 4x MO

Each MO is connected to thrusters of a larger size than the frame and also connected to a weapon. Would this frame be able to use each MO to move 1 zone each turn without taking an action?

Is it by a maximum number of columns/rows in its grid, or by its total HP? How small is too small for an Ultra? How much HP can a Light mech have before it stops being Light? Etc.

I also don't know how players place armor on a custom frame. At the moment, the only way I can figure out how to get armored squares is to take the Bandit prebuilt or a Heavy/Ultra frame. I assume it's tied to HP total, but are there limits on where and what shape the armor can be? Do armored cells have to be orthogonally adjacent? How many do I get, and when do I get reinforced versus normal? Is it tied to frame weight, and if so, see above because how do I define my custom frame's weight to begin with?

Thanks for putting Celestial Bodies out there. I'm excited to see where it goes!

On page 53 it says that shields protect all squares orthogonally adjacent, while p66 says all adjacent squares. Unless otherwise specified, does "adjacent" in this book mean "orthogonally adjacent?"

H ow does splash damage from weapons like the grenade launcher and flak cannon affect mech HP?  Is that also subtracted, or does that damage only serve to damage parts?

Does shifting hit locations have to be applied in straight lines? For example, if I have +2 accuracy, could a hit location of  34 be changed to a 45?

Congrats to the authors, I'm happy the game turned out so well!

It mentions that, with a roll of 36, having +1 accuracy isn't enough to hit the target, because 26, 36, and 46 all don't hit. However!  The frame's gun is at 35. 


Does this mean that either a) +1 accuracy can't move up or down, or b) that weapons aren't damaged like internals and systems of a mech?


For reference, it looks like the frame takes up 11 through 35, since it's the LN-VIGIL
