A prototype has been posted with all major components of the project in place. It consists of a single dungeon with combat, traps, a single puzzle, several items of weaponry and gear, abilities, and a boss at the end with unique phases in their combat.

Iā€™m still very new to the whole game dev affair, and this is only my second project- first one being mostly modifying a tutorial I found online-, so I would really appreciate if you checked out this small tower defence game I made:

Oh yeah, Iā€™m new to drawing as well, so donā€™t go too hard on the visuals please :)

Some info: I kept the project small not to get overwhelmed, so low variety in tower/enemy types is intentional. I also didnā€™t include the ability to upgrade towers on purpose, as balancing even the small number of basic towers and enemies was a task and then some!

What Iā€™m interested in: -Did you encounter any bugs? I spend a lot of time testing my game, and I think itā€™s pretty bug free, but fresh eyes might see things that I wasnā€™t looking at. -Does the game feel balanced? I think that there is a bit of a difficulty spike from level 2 to 3, but at least to me it still seemed pretty fair. -Was the level layout any good? I donā€™t play tower defence type games much, and mostly chose to make this type of game because it seemed like it would be a pretty good learning experience (coding etc.)

I haven't gotten any feedback or comments whatsoever, so I was wondering if someone could play my game and just let me know what they think of it. I love criticism, so tell me anything and everything.

The description as well as devlogs explain the games main premise, but I'll share it here too so you don't have to go through a bunch of links:

  • This is a wave-based roguelite game, inspired by Vampire Survivors.
  • It has a simple game loop - start new runs, collect coins, buy upgrades and unlock characters, and repeat.
  • There are 4 characters to choose and unlock, each with their own stat bonuses.
  • Relics dropped from bosses give special boosts to the player, not obtainable through upgrades.

I really did enjoy working on this project, and I'd like to keep working on it, but I'd rather make games that people actually play. This whole thing is a learning experience for me, after all.  šŸ˜…

Fantasy Grinder Infinity is an ARPG where you level up every possible action, become the monsters you kill and steal their gameplay altering passive abilities. Everything you can do in game grants xp towards a skill, attacking, killing a particular monster, afking, sitting on the title screen...etc. that grants bonuses towards your character. Its similar to an incremental game in the repeat runs build up on each other and gradually result  in becoming VERY overpowered. The game runs in a browser and is prerendered 3d with kinda a ps1/n64 vibe. Obviously early early alpha, lots of things not actually working but if anyone has feedback id love to hear it.

Known issues:
Memory leak that gradually causes slowdown, refreshing the game should resolve it, progress shouldn't be lost.
Passive and character selection does not persist across sessions, should be fixed in the next big update, progress is not lost.
Rogues Unique passive and shared passsive are not currently working.
Sometimes the passive selection buttons don't want to play nice and let you turn things off.

Roadmap of features to do before beta:
World and Character runes: Similar idea as runewords and other ARPG games jewel systems, this will be the primary equipment. You will have (undetermined) number of rune slots for both the world and your character, a character rune example "+x to stat, your physical damage now causes enemies to be stunned for x-seconds",  world rune example "Enemy level +x,  random patches of fire now exist in the world that damage you and enemy units." Runes will randomly drop and will be craftable/upgradable, unsure if they will be per character or not.

A reset mechanic, similar to idle games. Sacrifice all your levels earned to get some kind of prestige points to upgrade aspects of your character or unlock new gameplay elements/choices.

Leaderboards for levels earned total and in each specific category. 

A real tutorial/intro.

.......And way more! This is very much a game made for my personal enjoyment, its got all the things I like in games, progression progression progression.

About me: Solo dev/artist, I made all the 3d art and programmed the game, I've been making little toy games as a hobby for 20 years, this is my first real attempt at releasing something.

"Visuals were out of this world. Just so fun, and I can't believe how good the random level generation is."

It's an endless runner (swimmer) game.  I was tired of previous games being criticised for being too difficult and complicated, so opted for a much simpler game this time around.  I looked into the concept of flow and paid attention to colour harmonies.  The result seems to have been well received.  But I only have 7 ratings so far.  Hopefully, posting here will lead to more feedback...
