I'm Evan, I'm an audio programmer and sound designer looking to work as part of a team for the game jam! I'm experienced creating audio in Reaper and implementing it using Wwise into Unity (exe or WebGL), Unreal, and to a degree GODOT.

I've worked on a couple game jams before and have completed certification courses for Wwise and self-taught myself the engines and C-based languages.  If you could use me on your team, let me know!

I am joining the jam mainly to meet people and spend my next week on something. I have my hand in many programming fields and wanted to try and work together nice rouge-like game.  I like to program in C# but also know GD script.

What I will bring to the team:

• Create, update, and manage backlog via Kanban board (I like to use Trello)
• Delegate tasks and roles to keep everything lubricated and moving forward
• Run tagups, take notes, and update the team
• Playtest and log bugs
• Give key members the headspace to focus on what's important (design, programming, etc)
• Do everything in my power to plan and prevent the team from crunching in the last 24-48 hours
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to ask questions, redirect, and assess risks

What I could also potentially bring to the team:

• Writing assistance
• Produce all VO including recording, editing, file splitting, exporting, and casting if necessary (note that I don't have experience audio programming)
• Producing game trailer

The idea is to have a line of heroes that move similarly to the classic game Snake with somewhat automated attacks but forcing you to move quickly on the beat. Think of a cross between Snake (or SNKRX) and Necrodancer. The theme will probably be very lively and on the lighter side. I want the game to have the energy of pinball.

This will be my 10th time participating in 7DRL. My last 4 entries are on itch.

Here's what I'm hoping to find.:

• Familiarity with or at least interest in Necrodancer and its music
• 2-4 newly made tracks, about 2+ minutes long. Not much need to have them loop.
• Songs have to have very clear beats.
• A range of BPM from ~110-160 , which will determine difficulty. I'm actually not 100% certain on this part because this game might play a bit faster than Necrodancer or not? I don't know how easy it is to change this on the fly, but some flexibility here would be amazing.
• Something lively! Something that sounds like it could be dance music.

The early tracks in Necrodancer are perfect examples really. I don't need music exactly like this, but with some of the same energy and functionality would be great:

• Disco descent
• Crypteque
• Mausoleum Mash

Also, I just have to point out Courtesyby Chipzel. One of my favorite video game tracks.

Anyway, sorry to sound so picky but this particular idea has some functional requirements.

I've found a composer for music, though we're open to working working with someone to do SFX (I'm also fairly comfortable with that part too, either way)?
