I wanted to make Helena and George more interactive with their dialogue, but there simply isn't any dialogue currently in the game to make that possible.

I will finish George and Mr. White as one update. After that, I will be adding more dialogue options and some cutscenes.

Once that's done, I will start working on the German faction.  First part of this update will most likely just be couple of new maps leading to their camp.

I would also like to ask what you think about the endurance combat change. Any suggestions and bug reports are very welcome.

This is how the construction scheduling works:

  1. Start a project. Get all skills and materials you need.
  2. Project board will now show as green check mark instead of the black hammer. This means that everything is ready and now you just have to schedule some days for the construction.
  3. Go to the schedule menu by entering your tent or bed.
  4. Go to construction tab and select the specific project. The number of days you need to schedule is displayed in the middle bottom pannel, in this case it's two days.
  5. Number of days you need to schedule that is displayed in the bottom middle and bottom right pannel will get lower with every day you set.
  6. The project will be finished once you schedule enough days to reach "0". Project name in the bottom right pannel will turn green. You won't be able to schedule more days to this project so you don't have to worry about wasting days by accidentaly scheduling more days than necesary.
  7. Accept the schedule. If you number of days equaled to "0", your project will be finished. If not, then you will have to schedule the rest for the next week.

Hangout option works like you would expect. It increases your relationship with NPCs. 

Cutscenes show up when you do most activities with Billy. Every cutscene will show only once in your playthrough. Every activity has three cutscenes depending on your atributes. For example, farming jobs have different cutscenes for skill below 10, skill between 10 and 49 and skill above 50. 

Some maps in the random dungeon got graphical overhaul. There are still quite a few maps left though.

Reseting your traits with Mr. White will now remove your points from previous traits so they won't stack forever. If you picked swordsman 3 at the start of the game and you reset your traits later, those skillpoints you gained from that trait you got at the start of the game will be removed properly.

Glancing blows work like this:

All characters in your party can never miss with basic attacks. The attack formula is still the same and when your character rolls badly and is supposed to miss, then you will do 1/5 of your normal damage instead of 0. Even if enemy has enough armor to block all your damage, you should still do atleast one point of damage. Items and skills are untouched.

  • Billy plants different plant types in his garden after the potato quest instead of planting only beets

  • You can now pick your surname. Leaving the field empty defaults to "Volkova" like before
  • Your title now gets affected by your renow
  • Small edits to the battle screen to stop weapon names from overflowing

I quite like the menu. It's technicaly still work in progress, but the general idea is what I want to go with in the future.


There is only one "problem" or "disadvantage" to this new system. You have to wait for the transitions to finish before your inputs are read. All transitions take less than half a second though, so I don't think it's that much of a problem. 

I also gave the players the ability to change their surname. Old save files will still use the default one. I went through the text that I knew mentioned your surname and edited it, but there is a chance I forgot something. If you see a text that still mentions your old surname, please let me know.

Your title, the text in the brackets next to your name in status window and menu, now changes depending on your renown. It does nothing as of now, but is a nice indication of how popular you are.

This new system adds the "recreation" spot. This is a half-day activity, where you put certain items in a specific slot and get a skill and mood bonus.

This spot can be upgraded to have more slots and you can find, earn or buy new recreation items.

Most NPCs will now give you a skill book coresponding to their trade (Zach and Olaf won't). If play on an older save and you already went above relationship 10 with them, then you won't be able to get them that way.

I added a new trader to Riverstone that shows up roughly once every 5 weeks who sells all skill books and even some misc. books, so if you missed the skill books from the NPCs, you can still get them that way.

I also added a bag into the hideout that gives you some recreational items and some escape items.

Bear in mind that this system was done very quickly and is not that elegant. Spot graphics don't change with upgrades, book earning dialogue with NPCs is very short and simple and resourcess + requirements for upgrading the spot are also temporary.

The system itself works though and should make early game easier to manage.

There some pretty big changes in this one. 

Reworked events at the start of the week: Now you should get only one event per week, so if you fulfill conditions for the cure quest and the cutscene with the generals, only one will play out. Other event will play next week. This shouls stop some odd behavior and loops from happening. I tested it as much as I could but if you find any errors, please report them.

Ranged weapons buff / rework: I removed some dummy stats from all weapons and armor and added proper accuracy and speed properties to most ranged weapons. I also increased the amount of damage they do across the board.

Weapon speed: Wielding a weapon with high speed value will make your action bar fill faster. Automatic weapons fill it faster than bolt action weapons.

Weapon accuracy: Bonus to your chance to hit enemies. Some weapons like automatic or crude weapons are less accurate, but scoped weapons like dragunov now pretty much never miss even with very low weapon skill (Attacking very strong enemies like the wyvern with 0 weapon skill will still make you miss). No weapons were nerfed in that regard. All ranged weapons have the same or higher chance to hit.

As this is a new system, it is very unbalanced and might be buggy. Don't be afraid to suggest ballance changes or report bugs.

This feature is tied with the bestiary. If you can see enemy stats in the bestiary, you will also see them in combat. Unlike bestiary, the enemy HP shows the curent value, not just the max hp value, so you can monitor enemy health and see how much they have left.

  • Fixed bug where integrity related traits were not working properly
  • Added three new traits allowing you to change your hair color
  • Mr. White will allow you to reset your traits and pick them again
  • Items that affect values like mood or wellness now show your current value in sale and inventory windows

To change your traits mid-game, find Mr. White and talk to him. Select the "services" option while you have ancient power source in your inventory. This will reset your traits and allow you to pick new ones. Stat bonuses will not reset so you can use this to get stronger faster. 

This is only temporary solution. I will add proper way to reset your traits much later.
