I think there are multiple issues with the title page formatting of Fountain files.

First, the title page does not have an implicit page break both in preview mode and in exports, as it is stated inside the Fountain’s syntax documentation.

A page break is implicit after the Title Page. Just drop down two lines and start writing your screenplay.

Second, the title page is not correctly formatted regarding the Fountain syntax both in preview mode and exports. The position of the draft date and contact information does not seem right.

The recommendation is that Title, Credit, Author (or Authors, either is a valid key syntax), and Source will be centered on the page in formatted output. Contact and Draft date would be placed at the lower left.

Is there a workaround for this, e.g. a ‘translation table’ that I could edit so that the commands can be adapted to a German (and thus functionally for any other) keyboard?

I classify it as a bug that there is no customization option for the keyboard.

Deepdwn knows I do not have any: "No templates created" and offers a "Create one now" button, but when I press it, nothing apparently happens. No new file appears, and the current file does not become a template.

Hello, there's a minor problem with highlighting. If you close the highlighting just after an element that is not part of the alphabet or numbers (punctuation and other), the next time you want to highlight, it won't appear highlighted in the editor (works correctly for preview).

PS: Is there an option to change the type of highlighting (color, shape) in the preview ?

I would prefer not to have to install an app to install an app when I only need one...

I checked and the universal build has a little more luck than the x64; I do get a brief moment of seeing the prefs window before the application closes, but there’s still the same end result. I’ve attached the error output below from the “program closed unexpectedly” window just in case it’s useful. I’m on a Late 2022 Macbook Air with an M2 Apple Silicon processor, and running Sonoma. Deepdwn version is 0.40.2.

CONTEXT: Most of the markdown specs (at least those I'm aware of) are written by software engineers mostly for software engineering-type use cases. Which is great, but there are other real-world use cases where markdown support is less complete. One such use case is the digitising/encoding of "old" documents and records that were originally created with mechanical type writers.  These documents frequently use underlined text for emphasis, which unfortunately isn't commonly supported by markdown specs or impls.

My "custom" markdown for this purpose is:

(I don't use _this_ or *this*).

Another common one not typically supported by markdowns is redacted text; text which has been blotted out. This is somewhat similar to, but stronger than, ~~strikeout~~. The intention is that the text should not readable at all.  I've been using:

::darklight:: (the logical compliment of ==highlight== ).

Is this kind of thing possible?

I'm using Deepdwn 0.40.1 on win10.

The Deepdwn install process prompts for a folder location to store .md files (as described here: https://support.deepdwn.com/docs/guide/getting-started/). 

Is there any way to change this folder location post-install, perhaps somewhere in preferences or a config file in the filesystem,  or do I have to re-install to change it? 

Also I'm a little unclear on where tags from within the document show up, how you'd make tags akin to the chapter 1, chapter 2, etc shown in a screenshot on the product page, and how those differentiate from the outline tab.

I know that Python (and PHP) Markdown Extra can cope with that using special 'markdown="1"' and 'markdown="block"' attributes, but there aren't many editors with a preview that supports that and YAML front matter.

Then the window asking me to create a directory pops up with no readable text, just rectangles representing every glyph.

Google suggests that this is a snap packaging error and that there's nothing I can do to fix it. It's not an selinux issue. I tried `setenforce 0` but this made no difference. Neither did the often-recommended `ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap`.

The corresponding appimage works OK

The spacing/tabbing is supposed to be preserved in Fountain, and is not preserved in Deepdwn.

I am a fan of .md file organization without the complexities of a database. Does Deepdwn use a database in any fashion?

This has happened about 3 times in the span of a week. I tried different keybindings to make sure it isn't something I did by mistake. Then tried different documents. In some it would paste a random paragraph from the same document, but in some it wouldn't. Not sure if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. The platform is M1 mac!

I've been playing traditional music for about five years, and ABC is really common in that community. I'm also trying to find good tools to update a local session's songbook, so I nearly peed my pants when I saw Deepdwn supported ABC, albeit with limitations. My specific question is that I play cello, and the clef command is critical for me, because I need to transposes tunes into my octave. I have been looking at Markdown editors primarily for text editing (I also use mind maps a lot), but if I could use a Markdown tool for a songbook, so much the better.

Are there any plans to beef up ABC support? The clef command would be wonderful, as would some of the more advanced formatting commands. I can use Easy ABC to created PDFs, but the ability to put ABC inline in my text would be fabulous.

I have been using Deepdwn for a while now to mainly take notes for myself, and I'm really happy that such a tool exists! I haven't used any markdown editor before, so my question here may sound silly.

How do I align text? I have checked the changelogs and the documents of deepdwn but couldn't find a solution. I have tried "div" and "p" tags as it is suggested in different posts throughout the internet so far.

I'm using Deepdwn version 0.37.0 right now.

Just wondering, am I blind or something? I can't see any information on how text can be changed to different colours for different words/paragraphs. The online documentation is a bit thin.

The demo document has different colours everywhere, it's like rainbow road. In fact, the image of that text is one of the main things that made me purchase the program.

That ability to remember I've turned it off does mean that I'm not asking for screenshake to be set to zero as a default, but I am surprised that it isn't. Do other people like it?

when a Mermaid graph becomes to complex that its width exceeds the width of the preview (or export) page, the graph is scaled down symmetrically. However the original height of the graph remains and is not scaled down, and the Mermaid is kept vertically and centered, resulting in paddings above and below the graph.

Example:

The option to change the languages used for spellcheck reverts back to what I assume is the default - English (US) - when I open the program.

Since every other change is kept between closing and reopening the program am I missing something to make this specific change permanent?

Anyhow, there seems to be some kind of strange graphical bug that will happen every so often, usually just when I'm in the middle of typing stuff out.

I've blurred out my text and file names for privacy. the main focus is like, it seems like some kind of notfication modal pops up above the main editor view, but it shows up underneath the top bar so it's too obscured for me to read it, and when it pops up the entire interface seems to get like, pushed upwards, leaving an empty grey block at the bottom.

By hold clicking and moving my mouse over the area where the modal pops up, I've managed to highlight and copy the text in it that I can't see because it's behind the top bar -

"This file has been changed by another application, and you have unsaved changes.

You can save now to keep your current edits, or you can reload to adopt the other version instead"

And I do have Autosave turned on, so if I had to guess it's some sort of bug with the autosave feature. also, since the file I'm editing is in a Dropbox folder, it may have something to do with it reacting unfavorably to the file syncing system in Dropbox. Though I'm not sure why it would push the interface up like that. 

In my experience, clicking the un-obscured part of where I assume the "yes" button would be seems to fix the bug and put the interface back to normal, but if you go to File > Save the modal just goes away and the interface stays pushed upwards like that, so I have to close and reopen the program to get it to work.

This issue happens when making a new directory or closing the program and saving. Might just be a font I don't have installed. If so I'd like to know which one to get.

I use deepdwn daily for countless notes, brainstorming and writing short stories. Your "Automatic formatting fixes" are like a salvation. I love them! 

Since I often fold headings to keep track of more complex structures, I was looking for a way to keep all headings folded even when saving the document with the "Fix formatting issues on save" option. I tried a bit with the "Markdown formatting rules", but every time the headings were folded out again.

Maybe there is a simple way to prevent the headings from unfolding? If not, it would be great to have that as an option.

I used Pandor to convert a my notes which were in a docx to a md file so I could use deepdwn and have the imbedded images show up (I just started using it so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.)

Anyways, during the conversion, some of the text was in bold and bullet pointed, so during the conversion it out this before the text

When I write text after this point without the formatting it used for the bullet points, it shows up as normal in the preview but when I'm typing is out it's italicised and has this blue gray colour that I don't really like. Is there a way to make the text I type after this be displayed like normal (for example, the  "-Be careful of the way emails are written." is what I'm reffering to when I say normal.)?
