In August 2024, Scratch Team deleted their account and all associated projects, citing rule violations. Community chatter suggests this was triggered by user reports—possibly centered around an anthropomorphic ("anthro") character they created or simply due to mass reporting scratch.mit.edu+9scratch.mit.edu+9californiaclan.fandom.com+9svg.com.
Their core works, including beloved titles like Kit to Leader, Over Borders, and CaliforniaClan, disappeared from Scratch.
Fans confirmed that projects were removed “due to her mass reports” californiaclan.fandom.com+1moss-shadow.itch.io+1scratch.mit.edu.
On other platforms—like itch.io—they announced they would no longer be updating Scratch and would also reduce activity elsewhere .
Itch.io: Their games remain available on their itch page—complete with archived versions of Kit to Leader and other titles sportskeeda.com+6moss-shadow.itch.io+6californiaclan.fandom.com+6.
YouTube: Their channel (“MooseShower”) still exists, though uploads have ceased. A “See You on the Other Side” video hints at them stepping away scratch.mit.edu+7youtube.fandom.com+7youtube.com+7.
Other Socials: Links to DeviantArt, Twitter, Discord, and Tumble are still available but note they promised reduced presence .
Some sources speculated they might have died, but this is just rumor and not confirmed. There's no verified evidence that they passed away . It appears they left voluntarily—and definitely involuntarily lost access—but are likely still around.

So--we can't exactly say that they are dead, or committed suicide. All we know is that video--but for all we know, it could've been a hacker.
So, for our dear Mossy--don't give up all hope just yet.
