Sorry for being inactive.

Hello again.

I hope you're doing well today.

As the title says, I would first like to apologize for being inactive for almost half a year. There have been many things that happened throughout that period, and I just couldn't make time to make another post as a result.

But thankfully, one of those things that happened while I was inactive was a new game project I've been working on.

Well... it's not actually a new game, but rather one I've decided to improve on.

And that game would be what I guess I could call my passion project: Scralbum.

After making the demo, Scralbum: Bite Size, I've kept going back and forth on whether I should make it a full-fledged game. Well, in October 2024, I've decided to do just that.

And now, I've completely re-did everything again from scratch. For one, the game is now in pixel art. This was something that I've always wanted to try for a long time now. And honestly, I think my pixel art skills are pretty decent. Having the game be in this style saves me a lot of time when making new sprites, and also allows me to do the game in top-down perspective, which was my original intention in the demo.

I could talk more about what has changed in this new version of the game, but I've decided to do that in the form of YouTube devlogs.

If you're interested, you can check the first one I've made on my YouTube channel here:

I know it only showcases the title screen, but I think it's a good way to kick things off.

As of writing this post, I've made about 7 of these devlogs. And I'm hoping that I'll be able to have a new one out at least once every week.

But for now, that's all I have for this post. Thank you for having the time to read it. I'm honestly quite excited on where Scralbum is right now. And I cannot wait for the game to be fully-featured. Though, I will eventually need help completing it.

Regardless, I'm thankful for being able to do this at all. Having to tell good stories through video games is something I've grown to appreciate in the last few years, and I'm happy to be a part of it myself.

Once again, thank you for your time. And God bless.
