I released my first Android Game!

After two months of struggling to get past the Google Play production application, I was finally able to release my first android game, Impossible Climb!

It's a small, level-based 2D vertical platformer where you travel vertically and have to switch the gravity to get past obstacles. Best of all, the game's completely free and has no ads. So far, it only has 16 levels with optional collectables, but I am aiming to add more in the near future and expand the game concept (especially now that it's finally in production).

Overall, I spent about a week developing the game in Godot 4.2 and then proceeded to spend the next two months trying (and failing many times) to finally get the game on the Google Play Store.

Overall, for new developers, I would NOT recommend starting out with Google Play as accounts created after November 2023 have to gather 20 testers and have them keep the game installed for two weeks before applying for production access. This was pretty difficult for me to work around, but thankfully the Testers Community app was able to help me gather the testers.

If you want to check out the project, here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=impossibleclimb.v1

Overall just happy to finally get something out on Google Play - it was always a dream to get to do stuff like this even if it's not the best in the world.

Until next time,

EarnWizard!!
