Where am I at?

I moved to a new place of residence earlier this year. Bit hectic, still settling down. But in terms of the game, I finished a second pass on the scripts. I'd give it a roughly 90% complete with regards to the writing portion. Though my original aim was to have the first Alpha read go all the way through Act 1. It should have encompassed the first of the three stories in its entirety. But it looks more like I have to break that in half--which I'm not a huge fan of cliff-hangers but it's a somewhat natural break point.

Code-wise, I'm kind of proud that I was able to implement a NSFW toggle.  I want to emphasize that this is still Adult-Content. By toggling NSFW off, it's going make things 'softcore'. Which I also debated about calling it Hardcore/Softcore--but felt like those terms are antiquated. (Yells at cloud like an old Millennial).

The sex scenes are optional, regardless of the NSFW setting.

Backgrounds. Okay, I've tossed it around a few times, and I'm going to put a greater reliance on Blender and lighting backgrounds with it, rather than doing it by hand. The trade off in speed is worth it for me. And I still have access to the same technique should something need firmer edits.

I know I'm being a little too extra about backgrounds, I'm not actually sure how important it is to other folks. Sense of place helps ground me if that makes sense. But I swear, this is the last time I'm redoing backgrounds. I'm locking in the style. It's fine. I can live with this. Gotta push forward.

Forwardly. There will be an Alpha Read going out this year. I have one or two people lined up to give me feedback before I release the Beta here on Itch. The main difference between the two is Alpha does not have the character emotes.  Any changes due to feedback are also in the queue. I -could- be convinced to have a larger pool of people to read through the Alpha. If I do I'll post about it on the KindlingVN BlueSky account. Which hasn't really had too big of a purpose. I've given up on Twitter, so you won't really see much activity there. I'm somewhat active on my personal BSky account ( lykanthrope ).

If you're still on board with me, thank you for sticking it out. I appreciate it.
