This week I learned how both tough and easy Audio can be in Unreal Engine 5. I wanted to simply get it to where there was a collection of sounds for each foot so that there wouldn't be audio fatigue. This quickly spiraled me into trying to make it from code instead of blueprint which actually got further than my blueprint ever did and was still an important experience. Regardless after several hours of having no idea what I was doing I was forced to take an extended break by being forced to leave school and go home.
This helped immensely and would be my turning point on finding out the issue. The issue in question was that I was doing it wrong from the start. I found this out after doing further research and finding a particular individual with the same issue as me on the Unreal forums. Another user ended up giving the solution to the issue which was a was through blueprint that held all the sound effects in a completely different kind of object. This solved the problem I was having for around 3 hours in a matter of 20 minutes because of course the hardest problems have the easiest solutions.
