SHADED GREEN - Getting the word out

For the past few years I have been busy with a project I always wanted to get out into the world. And its almost time for a demo to release!

First and foremost, what's this game even about you may be wondering. Well this project (and maybe the whole series) is my way of telling a story for what it is like to be inside my mind. Its a way to get things off of my chest in a more cryptic way. And its a way for me to tell a story I've wanted to share.

Now, how far in development have we gotten?
Well for starters, the main thing that has been keeping me stumped about the project was getting the battle system in order. By that I mean it took me YEARS to get where I am today. Why it took that long.. welllllll, this whole thing started on Godot, at first it was easy getting into the program and placing assets left and right. But coding in Godot?... I should've worked on a smaller game before taking on this task.. now I see why others say to work on smaller projects before getting into your dream project. Oh well..  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyways.. after having a frustrating time with Godot and game dev as a whole, I just kinda took a break. After a while I learned about Gamemaker (witch is where I moved the project). This, this is where things really picked up, of course it was a slow start but I had fun messing with Gamemaker and I just knew this was the right engine for me. And here we are now, close to finishing the hurtle that made me go a bit insane.

As of now it's only me working on the project with a friend helping with art (they make a sketch and I turn it into a sprite).
I hope to update everyone on how things are going from here on out next time.
