06/13/24 First Post; talking about the game and the things I have on my mind for it lately.

I finished setting up this profile page for now. I will obviously add more and update it from time to time, depending on which stage of developing Hato Haito I'm in at the moment.

Hi, I'm parax and I'm working on my visual novel game Hato HaitoIt's still in the early stages of development and because I'm developing it all on my own (at least for now I guess), it probably won't be finished until at least December 2024. But it'll probably take even longer than that because I'm not working on it every day or even every week. I want the game to actually release some day so I have to avoid burnout in order to get it done hopefully sooner than expected. And I obviously don't wanna lose interest in it so I only work on it when I really feel like it.

I'm thinking of rewriting the whole story and the endings I came up with a few months earlier. Gonna be a taunting task. I don't have a deadline anyway so I could change it as many times as I want lol

When the game's done, I'll probably release it for free. Especially because it wont take more than maybe 4-5 hours at maximum to finish it. And it won't be the greatest game either as I have yet to figure out how I should visualize it. It is a visual novel so the visual part is a little bit important I'd say. Right now, an old friend of mine is drawing one of the characters for me but there will be at least another character and all of the assets/backgrounds have to be accounted for as well. I thought about making the game more black-and-white-ish because then I could at least try draw some of the images used as backgrounds myself.

Seems like it will take a while till the game's completely finished but I'll keep posting updates here whenever something happens that's worth mentioning.

Until then
