Back From The Dead?

I LIIIIVE.... I think.

Its been 6 months since my last post on here, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the people who were following me have moved on. And you know what? I don't blame them one bit. It's been a while, and as usual, a lot has happened.

The divorce hasn't gone through yet, and things have been pretty smooth regarding that situation, surprisingly. But to top that off, I also lost my job around the 6 month mark, too. So, I've been putting in job apps like crazy, and even though I've had a handful of interviews, none of them have worked out for one reason or another. I'm grateful that my ex isn't acting like a typical ex and trying to shove me out the door as quickly as possible.

In the time I've been silent, I've been trying to get work done on projects as much as I can, but sadly, none of my visual novels have seen much progress. I just haven't had the drive to work on them, and I'm done fighting against the flow of things because when I resist, nothing gets done. I'd rather be making slow progress on multiple things, than try to force work on something and just end up staring at the page for hours getting nowhere.

That said, I have been making progress on one MAJOR project, and it will be finished enough for play testing soon. I'll share more info on it when I have it in a more stable state. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to have other things coming out beforehand. And that is part of what this post if about. I know this is turning into a long one, but bear with me.

In case I hadn't made it apparent, this studio is intended to produce all sorts of content for people, and that doesn't stop at video games and the like. I also plan on releasing tabletop content as well. The original idea I had was a book for TTRPG design and content ideas, but I became too excited and released it prematurely. It was still riddled with typos, repeats, and errors, so I pulled it on launch day. So, I've decided to release different parts of that content as stand-alone products first, which will make them a bit more manageable. Then, if they do well enough, we'll go from there.

On another note, Darksun Studios is going to be working under the wing of Team Ember Wings (see what I did there?) and assisting in the development of Worlds Crossing Academy (https://victorseven.itch.io/wca). I've done quite a bit of work for VictorSeven on it already, and plan to assist them more going forward. I'm looking forward to seeing what else we can accomplish on his project, but one step at a time.

And that should be it for now. I'll be posting my first TTRPG content that is actually ready to go very soon. Keep an eye out on the store page if you're interested.

Until then, I hope everyone is doing well, and you'll hopefully hear from me again soon!
