I'd like to share a new game I've begun working on! It's not a gamejam game so I've decided to tackle this properly and create a devlog and update my progress here. This first post may be kind of long but subsequent posts will focus more specifically on content. Unlike many of the creators on itch and elsewhere I'm pretty good at finishing games and maintaining scope! This game wont take months and months of development to get out the door, but if there is interest I do have ideas for how to expand it in the future. With that bit out of the way, let's move onto talking about the game!
The working title is, "Cyrano" and I have some interesting mechanics planned which I believe haven't yet really been utilized in this space yet and are going to really raise the bar if I can pull it off in this medium!
Why NSFW? Well, the numbers don't lie. One of the games I am most proud of "Tidy Christmas" had a total of about 420 plays over its lifetime, while the Heartthrob of the Harem had about 7000+! With that much attention on a silly little gamejam game I produced in a week, I've decided to dedicate myself to making a proper NSFW game and promote and bring it to market.
This game is not a visual novel, it is an interactive sandbox with heavy focus on VR interactions and replay-ability. I am at the same time building the Flatscreen version as I know not everyone has access to a VR headset. When I get closer to an initial test release I will be starting a Discord, Patreon and all that jazz. For now, this is about as long as I want to make this post. I will go into some of the mechanics of the gameplay and things I'm working on in the next post!
