Dream Rogelite Devlog #1

Check the Spanish translation of this post here

We've been creating a dream-themed roguelite. Right now we are in an early stage, with most of the content being defined with placeholders, all of the mechanics, though, are already stablished and things are moving forward. In this roguelite, you play as a lucid dreamer who can shapeshift and use magical powers when entering the dream realm, and try to crawl through different dungeons as the dream phase advances and everything starts becoming more surreal.

We already have done the character movement along with a dashing mechanic, as well as a script for the character customization. The player will  be able to choose different skin colors, haircuts and pajamas.

Currently we are working on having a variable for our main character, since it's going to be customizable, with idle and walking animations, as well as creating the enemies AI and the formation of the dungeons.

A preview of how the walking animation is going, made with Unity animations

See here how the terrain generation works:

Es la primera iteración del sistema de generación semiprocedimental de mazmorras que estoy desarrollando para el juego en el que trabajamos en clase, pero está bastante bonito y lo quería compartir😁.#unity #algorithm pic.twitter.com/v70Njk8Usn

The current character variable that we are using can be checked here:
