I have planned to release 1-2 games this year. And I'm working hard on a few projects in the background. One of these projects is SCP-2342 Slaughterhouse. As the name suggests, the game is set in the SCP universe.
The game is a short horror game with a playtime of just ~1-2 hours. The gameplay has been kept extra simple. There are a few battles. These are fought via a simple QTE. This means: To kill an opponent, simply hit the colored area. If we fail to do this and miss, we take damage and die.
There are 1-3 enemy types. These differ slightly in appearance and QTE mechanics. With some enemies, we can take 3-4 hits before we die and with others, one hit is enough.
We can also find items to heal ourselves. There are also smaller puzzles and traps. The aim of the game is also simple - escape from the estate.
Anyone who has read the SCP text above will know that we are actually only watching a video recording, so there is not much talking or dialog. In the game, however, we can find notes and photos that tell us a bit more about the game world.
The game also focuses on the audio-visual experience. It is dark and has a "found footage" flair.
When will the game be released?
Development is progressing well. I have already finished 1/3 of the game. If I continue at the current pace, the game should be finished in a month. However, I'm not going to give an exact date for now. I just want to concentrate on the development and not work under time pressure. That's one of the reasons why I've often lost interest in a project in the past.
So please be patient a little longer

Lore:
Ref. no.: SCP-2342
Classification: Keter
Safety Measures: Due to the nature of the anomaly, few security measures are possible to contain the anomaly. The anomaly and neighboring properties are kept under quarantine by a stationary guard force. Access roads and paths have been closed. In addition, jammers have been placed to suppress incoming and outgoing signal sources.
Description:
SCP-2342 also known as "Slaughterhouse", is a large property located near Bar Habor and Acadia National Park in Main. From the outside, the entire property makes a run-down impression. The fact is, however, that scientists were unable to take any samples from the house. The building materials used are similar to other comparable buildings in the area. However, any attempt to extract building materials failed. The surface and the usable material appear to be extremely dense and hard, making it impossible to take samples with conventional tools.
However, the scientific team was able to remove a microdose of the building material using a high-energy laser. When they tried to examine the sample in the laboratory, it disintegrated, leaving behind nothing but conventional dust.
It is not possible to enter the building. All doors are sealed and cannot be opened even with modern tools. C4 was also used to blow open one of the doors - without success.
If you try to look through one of the windows, you will see nothing but blackness. The scientific team now assumes that there is a spatial anomaly.
Various objects have been found on the grounds of the estate. Clothes, magazines from gossip magazines, toys, a walkman. According to the local authorities, all these items come from people who have disappeared within the last five years. When asked if anyone had ever investigated this property, no answer was given. It seems that the local population has a natural aversion to the property. A quick test revealed that the police officers from the local precinct were experiencing nausea and dizziness. This phenomenon intensified the closer they got to the property. One of the deputies, [CENSORED], even lost consciousness and had to be taken to the local hospital.
After thorough research, it emerged that people from the nearby area had been disappearing without trace for several decades. It is assumed that these people had gotten inside the estate or had been abducted into it.
An investigation department has searched in vain for a deed to the property. For this reason, the local history was investigated more closely and the following things were discovered about the property:
- There are no deeds or documents relating to the property
- Older photos of the town do not show any property. In a photo from 1967, the property was a wooded area
- None of the residents can remember exactly when the property was built or how long it has been there.
- According to police files, people have been disappearing from the area for almost 15 years.
- Without exception, the people who have disappeared are young people under the age of 25
As further research and investigations yielded no useful results, it was decided to quarantine the entire property. All access roads were blocked and a stationary security team was dispatched to secure the anomaly.
Addendum:
A bloodstained VHS tape was found in a bush outside the property. The cassette was not in good condition due to the weather. However, the scientific team was able to secure a small amount of material.

The video was probably recorded with cameras located inside the property. A young woman can be seen on the video. According to a missing persons match, the young woman is 18-year-old Amber Curz, who disappeared about three weeks ago.

Bar Habor is a small coastal town in the US state of Maine. The town borders directly on Acadia National Park. There, deep in the woods, is an old dilapidated mansion. Nobody knows how long it has been there.
What is known, however, is that people have been disappearing for some time. One of them is 18-year-old Amber Cruz.
She wakes up injured in a cellar and realizes that she is in a nightmare.
