I'm still alive!

I know this page has been dormant for a while now, but I'm happy to say that I'm still around - just haven't had time to publish any new games lately. I've been playing back my older games a lot recently and realized how bad they were - at the time they seemed good but after watching a lot of better developers I've seen how much I could improve. So I'm working on that now.

I think the main problem with my games made with Unity is that I used C#, but really had no experience with it (or any other OO language). Since then though, I've become good with Java and Python so I'm not blindly following tutorials and copy-pasting code from the Internet anymore.

I guess the biggest news I have is that I've switched over from Unity to Godot! I already made one game (unpublished), and I really like it so far. It seems much more intuitive than Unity, and I've enjoyed learning it (plus the docs are actually good!) I don't feel completely confused and frustrated all of the time now, and honestly just being able to explore the game engine itself and learn on my own has been super helpful in becoming a better learner.

Oh and one more thing - I'm currently working on a new game! It's another 2d platformer like Project dino, but it's going to be much better. For one, I finally set up some animation so everything looks a lot cleaner now. I actually gathered a lot of feedback from my other games and started fixing small stuff (e.g. I've implemented coyote time and swore to never use fixed hitboxes again :P). Development is going smoothly so far, and I'm hoping to release the game around mid-April.

So yeah, stay tuned for that, and thanks for reading this long post lol
