How is it already almost the end of January??? This is coming a lot later than I intended. I'm coming back from a week long power outage at my house and dealing with the aftermath of all of that. What a crazy start to the year!!
Anyway. So 2023 feels like it was less productive than I wanted it to be, but it can't be helped. It was a strange year. I dealt with a lot of personal struggles (some that are still ongoing but I'm getting there) and it seems like there were just a lot of downturns that set me back creatively. However, I was able to collab with some friends and that was nice & really affected the way I look at my personal projects in a positive way so hopefully those changes help me out in the long run.
I posted my first complete game for a jam! That was really exciting. I'm not usually good on deadlines so I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it finished in time. I really wanted to have something one and done to post, since my other two projects that are up are in progress/a demo for a project I'd like to do in the future. So having been able to sit down and hammer out a little thing in the time limit bolstered my confidence. And the feedback I got was encouraging as well.
I'm really glad for the dev friends who I was able to stay in contact with after I made the decision to remove twitter from my socials. That was a tough one but ultimately for the best in a few different ways. Stepping away from socials in general has helped me immensely, even if it meant I'm posting less about my projects.
I can't think of anything else that needs to be said about 2023... so we'll move on to this year instead.
Demon's Fate is still being worked on, I promise!! I will make a devlog for that soon outlining the full plans for that this year. But I will say here that I am going to try my best to make a dent in it since progress stagnated for a while.
I hope to be a little bit more online with updates on things this year as well but I won't hold my breath on that since I tend to forget about it. But we'll see how that ends up being ^^;;
I think this wraps up the wrap up! As always, I appreciate the support I get from everyone around me & hope that my games will find their audience and we can all share the love I have for these projects.
Thanks for sticking with me another year ♡
