We've begun playtesting DCRPG.

It's not quite finished.  I still need to get monsters and a few other things finished.  Some in-game text to convey some of the vibe

CitadelKeeperVera: "Thank you!" then they suddenly adopt a fierce expression of concentration as they look at your hand very minutely.

CitadelKeeperVera: "... your lifeline's blurry.  Can't tell where it ends.  Could be anytime.  Think it means it depends on something you do.  No Loveline at all.  Some curse marks but I dunno what that one means."

"Dear friends.  We are having a little trouble up north but I think we have it in hand.  The seer, Lady Albescu, says there is something else, smaller but possibly important happening to the east.  It's wildlands out there.  No villages and little protection, I'm afraid.  Please do not be insulted but I need my other agents elsewhere and this doesn't APPEAR critical, only enough so we can't ignore it.  The timetable is a little longer than most so you have to time to gather your affairs and even come back to the capitol if necessary.  Yours, Tepes."

"Why does it always have to be some kind of rats?" Nathan asked. "Undead giant rats, undead rats, giant rats, plain rats..."

Ranald continues.  "About a hundred lost souls buried in the cemetery.  Perhaps the spell is only weakened or the moon's curse hasn't fully infected the dead yet.  If you move swiftly the priests can get in and seal the graves again."
