What a Horrible Night to Have Amnesia...

I am pleased to announce that I have revisited Castle of Memories and am in the process of creating an updated ruleset! Castle of Memories 2nd Edition is coming soon!

The premise and general rules of the game are largely unchanged, but there are a few new features being added to this Soulslike solo RPG of memory loss and discovery:

• Magic will be much more potent, with heightened effects, critical casting effects, and more vocabulary, meaning a greater variety of spells
• NPCs do more than just buy or sell or give quests.
• Every weapon now has a unique property that changes how you do combat, instead of just being for flavor. There's also more options for Presence-built characters, and even a few options for Mind builds!
• The way rooms and enemy encounters are generated will be changed.
• There is now more to do in combat than just hitting things!
• And more!

This is a free update!

That's right, the Second Edition will be attached to the original game as a free update. If you already own the game, you will be able to download the second edition ruleset for free!

I don't have a definite date, as I'm still working on layout and balancing. But it should be here by early 2024.
