Monthly Dev Log - November 2023

Hi Everyone!

As mentioned on my blog, I will be posting monthly short dev logs here, to discuss what's been done in the previous month and the plan for the next one. You can find the longer (and more IRL related) version here.

Done in October:

> La Petite Mort - The Remaster
Last month, I mainly worked on the Remaster and Translation of La Petite Mort, my 2022 French EctoComp entry, which follows Suzette, an eight-year old getting ready to meet her peculiar grand-mother. The work on this project included some edit in the UI, some re-writes and added content, and the translation from French to English. The Remaster was submitted to the 2023 EctoComp.
I should do a proper dev log for that one soon...

> In the Blink of an Eye [NEW]
Also published this month was my inkJam/EctoComp/Bare-Bones entry, In the Blink of an Eye, a short interactive story where things change in the blink of an eye. This entry was completed in 4h, for the EctoComp La Petite Mort category. It is available in both French and English.

There may be an extension of this game down the line.

Planned for November:

> The Trials and Tribulations of Edward Harcourt (Ch5-6)
MelS and I would like to complete and code that fifth chapter by the end of the month, as well as make further progress on the sixth one (which should be the final one). We think we need to go through a few more rounds of edits before coding can happen.

> The Roads Not Taken or An Eggcellent Preparation
I have not decided which of these two I will try to fix first. Both need some coding editing for the parser commands, as well as text formatting. The French version of An Eggcellent Preparation also does not currently match.

> No Jam Participation... maybe.
The NeoInteractives will have a new jam announced very soon! But I'll only be moderating it.
