The World - Moon Side

On one side of the world, the red light of the moon illuminates a world of horror, violence, and despair.  One nation still stands: New Wallachia.  New Wallachia rises above the sea of blood but only just.  Formed from exiles of every nation of the world on the expanded borders of old Wallachia, it is riven with strife, both from within and without.  Grim warriors and magicians attempt to hold fast the encroaching evils but some inevitably break through.  King Vladimir Tepes the 15th sends out parties of the brave or insane into the forbidden wilds around New Wallachia, searching for the source or some cure for the Curse.

The World - Dark Side

No one knows what is happening to the world where the moon does not shine.  No word, no travelers or ambassadors.  Everyone sent to penetrate the endless night never returns.  Rumor has it that a dark citadel has risen somewhere on the other side of the world.  A seat of evil where some dread Lord, Lady, or otherwise rules over a kingdom of shadows.
