Wasteland Wonders and Updates across the Wasteland Worlds line!

First things first! Wasteland Wonders has been released! This new book includes three new post-apocalyptic classes, the Sailor, Star, and Synthesiser. It also includes new feats, two new backgrounds, and a myriad of new character options compatible with other classes from across Wasteland Worlds! To get the most out of Wasteland Wonders you should therefore already have at least a few of the other books in the series before you purchase it. At minimum, make sure you have both Wasteland Wanderers and Wasteland Wares. Some content in the book is also compatible with The StrangerWasteland WarriorsWasteland Wheels, and there are even new rookie stat blocks and supporting class options compatible with Appendix B of Wasteland Woes.

Wasteland Wonders

Additionally, updated versions of the Wasteland Worlds product line are now available! Some of these updates even include brand new content and in a few cases have increased page count.

Updates across the Wasteland Worlds line include the following changes:

WASTELAND WANDERERS V3.0

Classes and Archetypes

  • Revised text in each class's Archetype feature entry to read "You can only belong to one archetype for this class" instead of "The choice you make now is permanent"
  • Revised the Scientist's custom bot in the following ways:
    • it now has natural AC 14, and adds your Proficiency bonus
    • The custom bot's proficiency bonus is now equal to your own, for simplicity and to keep the bot more relevant at higher levels even if you multiclass.
  • Revised the Scientist's Take Cover feature, improving clarity of the text.
  • Corrected a reference to "Scout's Instinct" (the old term for this feature) in the Scout's class features table, changing it to simply "Instinct".
  • Corrected the class levels associated with the Scout's Archetype entry (it said 14, which is now 15).
  • Errata for a Shepherd's Soothing Words: healing now includes your Charisma modifier.

Backgrounds

  • In each background that offers tool proficiency in musical instruments, clarified that vocals is an option
  • Made the tribal tattoos in the Tribefolk's Equipment Pack optional.

Customisation

  • Updated the Class Equivalency table to include classes in newer books.
  • Corrected the values on the Spell Reproduction Costs table.
  • Added a new feat, Animal Armaments.
  • Revised the First Aider feat to also work on machines (the character must use Mechanic's Tools and spend salvage, as with the Emergency Care feat that is First Aider's prerequisite).

WASTELAND WARES V3.0

General Updates

  • Updated the table of contents to reflect new sections added
  • Updated all stat block formatting in line with the vehicle stat blocks in Wasteland Wheels.
  • Minor formatting corrections

New Rules

  • Revised the introduction to Tools, clarifying that proficiency in both a skill and a tool useful for a specifical application of that skill grants advantage on the roll (the lack of this text implied only specialist's tools grant such a benefit)

Classes and Archetypes

  • Revised the Sidekick's Archetype feature to include the full list of archetypes in the book, and to read "You can only belong to one archetype for this class" instead of "The choice you make now is permanent"
  • Updated the Sawbones' Surgeon Feature to allow characters who are already proficient in Medicine and Surgeon's Tools to pick alternative proficiencies.

Economy

  • Added a section on Scarcity and Fun

Chems

  • Clarified that inspiration granted by either Big Smile or Xtreme is lost if not spent within the chem's duration.

Gear & Trade

  • Added Scuba Diving Mask to the Other Gear table

Weird Wares

  • Revised the text of the Penetrating weird weapon property. It now applies when the target reduces your damage through armour mods or similar effects, not just damage resistance.

Guidance

  • Added a new section on Rewards, including Reward Sources (exploring Contractual Rewards and Rewards as Loots), Weird Rewards (exploring weird properties in loot), and Rewards for Non-Humanoids (exploring alternative ways to reward Cat and Dog characters)

WASTELAND WHEELS V2.4

General Updates

  • Minor formatting corrections

THE STRANGER: A WASTELAND WANDERER V1.5

General Updates

  • Replaced the term "power" with "strange power" throughout. This is consistent with the feature's name, and reduces risk of confusion with the term "power points".
  • Fixed a layout issue on pages 12-13.
  • Fixed the class heading appearing as "Savage" on the table of contents.
  • Miscellaneous minor corrections to text.

The Stranger Class

  • Added power tiers to the class table's features column at the appropriate levels.
  • Revised the text of the Minor Powers subsection for improved clarity.
  • Revised the text of the Oddlore sidebar.
  • Revised the Stranger's Strangeness (Archetype) feature entry to read "You can only belong to one archetype for this class" instead of "The choice you make now is permanent"

Strangenesses (Archetypes)

  • Revised the text of the Gizmoperator so the player can choose from existing strange powers, not just convert spells into new powers.
  • The Mathomancer now automatically gains the Guidance minor power as well as Whammy.

Oddities

  • Revised the text of Focused Mind to work on concentration for any effect, not just strange powers.
  • Revised the text of One with Shadows.
  • Limited Powerful Smite to a maximum of +5d8 ruin damage.
  • Revised the text of Two Minds at Work - since Guidance has been added as a Mathomancer power, it refers to that instead of the cantrip.

Strange Powers

  • Added Guidance as a new Mathomancer power
  • Added additional power entry to Bend Fortunes
  • Improved the text of Gentle Remembrance by adding subtitles for each of its effects.
  • Changed heading for Psychometric Detection to correctly label it as a minor power
  • Revised the effects of Enhance Ability to add secondary effects to Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma
  • Rewrote Psychometric Detection's text for improved clarity
  • Corrected the hit point recovery of Regenerative Overdrive to 4d8 + 15.
  • Corrected the Activation costs of Collective Reverie, Eyes in the Back of Your Head, and Second Thoughts to 6 Power points.
  • Revised the area of Collective Reverie to a 40-foot cube. Tier 3 powers are equivalent to 4th level spells (at minimum) but Collective Reverie is based on a 3rd level spell, Hypnotic Pattern, which would normally be Tier 2 and have an activation cost of 5 Power points. The increased area is intended to balance the higher activation cost.
  • Corrected the Activation cost of Bullet Barrage to 9 Power points.
  • Corrected the activation cost of Captive Remembrance, Dimensional Cannonade, Psychic Spear, Toxic Cloud, and Writhing Tendrils to 8 Power points.
  • Revised the damage of Bullet Barrage to 9d8
  • Revised the warp damage of Dimensional Cannonade to 6d6
  • Revised the damage of Psychic Spear to 9d6
  • Revised the damage of Toxic Cloud to 6d8
  • Revised the damage of Writing Tendrils to 5d6

  • Removed a reference to "Audacity" from the Sentinel's class features table.
  • Fixed misspelled "Mighty Build" entry in the Sentinel's class features table.
  • Corrected "Feral Instinct" to "Honed Instinct" on the Sparker's class features table.

  • Updated the table of contents to reflect page numbering changes caused by the newly added Zombie entry.
