Battleships (updated)

Battleships (original rules)

A 10x20 board is split in half to two players, both player will have a territory of 10 square by 10 squares. Players set up by placing five ships either horizontally or vertically, Carrier (5 squares), Battleship (4 squares), Destroyer(3 squares), Submarine (3 squares), Patrol boat (2 squares), without their opponent seeing where you have placed them. Finally the players take turns to guess the location of their opponents ships, and when a player hits their opponent's ship, they have to say "hit", they do not have to specify which ship they have hit but they do have to notify their opponent when a ship has fully sank. The game will end when one player has eliminated all their opponent's ships, and that player will be the winner.

Updated rules:

1. before each player uses their turn to launch a hit on their opponent, they will have a choice to roll a dice.

2. If the dice lands on a even number, the player will lose their opportunity to launch any attack on their opponent for the round.

3. If the dice lands on a odd number, the player will get to have the number which they rolled as the number of attacks they have on their opponents in that particular round.

4. By the end of both players turn, two players will both roll the dice, the person that rolled the larger number will have a opportunity to move one of their ships (translation on the board).

5. Players may not rotate the position of their ship.

6. When the player win the dice roll, they can move one of their ships either vertically or horizontally by the number they rolled subtracted by the number their opponent rolled.

7. Players may not move a ship that has already been hit.

8. Players may move their ships to squares that have already been attacked by their opponent.
