This past week I spent time researching wealth inequality and the factors that lead to this issue and what can be done to make changes for the better. Designing a game around the challenge of wealth inequality is daunting as its not a fun subject, but it is an important one.
Creating a game based around the theme of wealth inequality will be a good tool to educate people on why there is this inequality and what can be done to try and fix it. Questions that i want to pose to the players include, why does such a small portion of the population have most of the control of wealth, if they do control a large portion of the wealth and are able to use that to influence governments economic and monetary policy how will the 99% ever be able to close the gap?
