So what’s Decker?
To summarize, Decker’s a web page creation tool. It doesn’t actually make websites however, nor do they look like websites; but functionally, that’s what they most resemble. Something’s very endearing about the platform. It calls to mind the earliest experiences I had with technology. Functionally, they resemble children’s visual novels like Putt Putt goes to the moon, or mini game experiences like Purble Place—a game packaged in with windows 7 (and now available on the App Store).
Ease of Use:
This is Decker’s greatest strength. Decker is more like a platform than a game engine.
Can you make games?
Yes or no, there’s https://whoaitsjoan.itch.io/freighter, if you consider visual novels conventional games. Most games are not in fact games. They’re mostly intentionally ironic slideshows like https://atomr.itch.io/the-extraterrestrial-classroom-presents-ufos.
Anthropy released an experience I suppose. A quirky shop ran by a skeleton.
Import Music?
Yes, you can; audio’s everywhere. In Decker’s manual, there’s this:

I would not use the listener, it seems to have a lot of issues with it if you open the guided tour first. It serves as a test bed for scripts. But I’m unsure how to get back to Decker’s creation page. I have to force quit the program several times before it does in this state. Lilt terminal’s probably better for tests. http://beyondloom.com/decker/lilt.html
Lil’
Decker’s scripting language. http://beyondloom.com/decker/lil.html, I’ve read some of it, I’ll need to read more. Basically if I want something custom, something that takes real effort, I’ll be going here.
Story Boarding. Still in progress.
