Hereafter Fermata 0.01 (working title (maybe (probably)))

I started working on a game I'm really invested in on 8th of June this year (2023).

It's nowhere near finished but I have some things I'm excited to show and I feel a post would help me with any future struggles with commitment! I'll sprinkle screenshots throughout this post so you can see some stuff for yourself!

GENRE:

Top-down RPG


COMBAT:

The combat is turn based with strategy in placement and skill checks on attacks, inspired by the style of megaman battle network and mario rpg's! 

(Ignore the attack names and enemy sprites)

STORY:

I'm not sure how much I'd regret saying in the future, so I'll keep it somewhat vague in what I do say!

The overarching theme is escapism, as the story follows the protagonist's journey into a unique afterlife made up of things inspired from several different beliefs and interpretations! The game also uses music to represent Chaotic Harmony versus Order.
