Hello everyone! Welcome to the week 4 blogpost which will go through everything I've done in the 4th week of development on our game. As always I have written the Scrum sheet for the forth week which describes what every team members job is for the next week, but alongside that I have started to add some things to the trello board.
This is the "TO-DO List" Trello board where I will add all the tasks that are meant to be completed for each specific week, so far I added tasks for all the previous weeks and our current week. I will update this whenever our team members get new tasks to accomplish. The reason why this board was created is because we needed to showcase everyone's weekly tasks on Trello and this is a easier way to look at the tasks rather than going through each scrum sheet individually.
I have also continued to work on the GDD document. This week I wrote about the gameplay overview which involves what genre the game is, the target audience and platform. It'll still be a few weeks until the GDD is done but so far its shaping up nicely and gives a good overall idea of what the game is meant to be.
I've been given the task of creating the UI of the game for next week, This involves creating the border for the game which will make it look like its being played on an old styled PC, The insanity bar and the inventory button. I plan for all of these different parts of the UI to have an retro atheistic which will go along with the idea of it being played on an old computer. So far I haven't started on it yet but I should have a concept/early artwork of it by next week.
Next I wanna talk about how well the agile style project management is going, So far its working pretty well. Every week we give tasks to the the team members and by next week they usually return with the thing we asked for, We have had some complications in the previous weeks but none during this one.
This was everything that I have accomplished for week 4 of development, I personally think that I am greatly improving in completing the paperwork and background management for our team because I am understanding how to do it more efficiently, over the next few weeks I also think that my art skills will have a chance to improve due to me working on the UI, but we'll see.
Thank you for reading!
