Hey everyone, Chris here,
I want to give a big thank you to everyone who gave You Found Me a playthrough, and also to those who played MEDICATED a little over a year ago. 2022 was not the best year for me in terms of production of projects. Living situation was sticky and I was coming out if a previous unfavorable living situation.
However, this year is going to be the year I put myself to work. With that, I want to give everyone a sort of roadmap as to what I'll be working on.
Firstly, I have 2 horror projects already outlined and ready to be built, with one in that process. Both projects focus on mental health as that is a topic I have personal experience with. The first one to be released, which is also in the building phase, has the underlying theme of PTSD, something very close to me. I'm aiming to have that one ready by the end of April. The second horror project is actually a request I saw in video comments of some of your playthroughs and tgat is some kind of follow up or sequel to You Found Me. Admittedly, I wasn't sure about how I would go about that without essentially making it a re-skinned version of You Found Me, but I was able to come up with what I think is a good means to accomplish this goal. With that said, after these are released, I will be stepping back from the horror genre until later this year, close to October, so I can make more pleasant projects.
Secondly, I have a few projects in the works that are more light hearted and fun. A little thing about me is that I am a big retro game fan. I grew up in the 90's, which to me was the golden age of games all the way through to the mid 2000's. A lot of my favorite games were those made on classic systems like playstation and N64. With that in mind, I have a few fun ideas I want to work on that are more colorful and fun. One such project is a Diablo-esque RPG game I am working on called Necropolis. It is a simple, yet lengthy, project I am having fun working on that I hope you will enjoy. I am also working on a fun Space Exploration and Survival project that I think will be a blast to tinker with.
Thirdly, I will be entering an upcoming Jam this year, one I try to enter every year as it is where I started as a Game Dev back in 2017, that being Adventure Jam. As that Jam draws close and starts I will be posting more on that as I have a pretty solid idea of what I will be making there.
So, that was long winded, but that's the goings-on here for me and my projects. Hopefully you guys will enjoy what I crank out!
I thank all of you for your support, kind words, and sense of community you all give me as I work to make some of the best work I can for you all and anyone else!
Chris
