To add to the list of marketing techniques, mobile marketing is a strong choice for anybody looking to sell a product. As of 2022 there were a recorded 71.8million mobile connections in the UK, which is more than the population of the country, and by 2025, the UK population will reach a predicted 68.3 million people with 95% of them owning a smartphone (Catherine Hiley, 2023).  

For one, SMS marketing is a solid pick for those trying to spread word about a product. It is recorded that between 90 – 99% of text messages are opened by mobile users and 90% of which are opened within the first 3 minutes (Nicole Genchur, 2022). This could make it a smart option for some brands who plan to advertise their products to mobile users and could be especially handy if said product is mobile related like a mobile game etc. 

It is no secret that social media is a great place for marketing products. A massive variety of products nowadays are advertised on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, this is due to the huge number of users on such platforms and their needs and wants can cover almost any basis Nicole Genchur (2022). This makes for a prime spot for anyone looking to sell anything as the numbers it can reach is in the billions Nicole Genchur (2022). This can amount to a desired product reaching the eyes of a targeted crowd due to the product being directed at those who have displayed interest in others similar to it Nicole Genchur (2022).
