REC/REW dev update 12

A couple words to let everybody know this project is still alive and well. Check my Twitter account should you ever be interested in what I'm currently doing. I found its letter count limit appeals my... laconic style of communicating updates about my project (how "laconic" and a verbose would-be visual novel author could fit in the same sentence is still a matter of debate).

As for my current dev roadmap, current "short/medium term" goals are:

- I'm making a list of sprites and backgrounds required for chapter 2. This currently is my priority

- Of course at the same time I'm also working on the aforementioned assets.

- Chapter 2 is going to be BIG. Like, 60-70k words big or worse. I'll be releasing it in chunks for my own sanity. I'm still writing it however the first two parts are ready and I'll start releasing them. Current status is... 75-80% done I'd say.

So yeah, March is going to be a *hot* month for this project (hopefully!).

Long term goals are the same as always:

- improve my characters' sprites. I already came up with a few poses and I'm now working on expressions. I still have to decide whether I should shift to layered images or stick to my current workflow (likely going for the former)

- HIGH PRIORITY: shift my backgrounds generation workflow from the current "mess with some 2D picture in GIMP" to creating 3D environments. This will give me the possibility to take shots of the same locations from different perspectives, giving a much more "cinematic" feel (whatever that means). Incidentally this new goal I've set for myself is the reason why the release of chapter 2 has been delayed - it's a rather time-consuming activity!
