So, it has been a long time since I logged into Itch.io. A lot has happened in the last couple of years, and life is not yet ready to let up. Still, I am working and trying to keep up with all the demands for my attention. I didn't realize it had been so long since I've logged on until I got a notification that someone downloaded WotF--and paid for it! Thank you so much for your support! I truly appreciate your help.
I'd like to give an update on what's going on here on Itch and some other projects I have been working on.
Starting with Itch. I haven't been on it and have not had a chance to work on the projects here. Most likely, I won't be able to get back to developing more 1-2 page RPGs for another year. Once I get through this next year, you can be sure I'll be back working on some fun and unique TTRPGs.
Regarding WotF: I know it needs some work. I am not an artist (obviously), but more importantly, I'd like to work a little more on the mechanics. Unfortunately, I cannot make this a priority right now. Give me a year, and I will get back to this.
Regarding The Hero's Die (THD): This needs A LOT of work. I'm actually a little ashamed of how poorly this was written. I know I pushed this game out in a rush due to other factors that threatened a delay in its release. This will be one of my primary focuses next year. I also hope to be able to get some professional artwork included. I've got a few different mechanic modifications (among other things) that I have been experimenting with. Once I get to THD, it will be more streamlined and easier to enjoy a fast-paced, action-packed TTRPG.
Other (Gaming) stuff: My main focus for the last couple of years has been writing. I wrote a LitRPG Horror novel based on a playtest we conducted with THD titled Toothless. The game was incredibly fun to play, and I believe the book successfully carried the spirit of that fun and suspense. Toothless is available now for purchase and will be available on Kindle Unlimited on 14 February (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B88DPJWK). Check it out, and let me know what you think!
I am working on another LitRPG story that will be published on Royal Road (https://www.royalroad.com/home) on 28 February, titled Labyrinth City. I do not have a link available on Royal Road yet; however, I do have a teaser available to Patrons on my Patreon account. You can also keep an eye on my home page (https://radiatedskull.com/) for more updates with this story.
So, give me a year, and I will get back in action with the TTRPGs. In the meantime, please give one of my novels a check--I think you'll enjoy the read. Also, if you've never read a LitRPG book, give it a chance--there are a lot of good books in this genre (especially on Royal Road). Thank you for your patience and support! I will be in touch. Until then, enjoy the adventure!
