Mastodan & Danews

Hi, I'm now Dan, or complete pseudonym "angela Dan quidam"

In short:

  • Mastodon: @dan@horrorhub.club
  • 1 substack main newsletter – my personal bilingual newsletter (about stuff I read/play/create/recommand) will now be published through Substack at danews.substack.com
  • 1 itchio solo-focused newsletter – I'll (test to) host another newsletter, containing only the English solo-TTRPG content from my main newsletter, here on itchio at angela-quidam.itch.io/solodanews (maybe later I'll use this "Post" function if more relatable).

In details (I write too much)

Mastodon

A lot of you Internet-friends flight from Twitter to go to Mastodon.

You can now find me there also, please tell me your ID or follow me at @dan@horrorhub.club ( https://horrorhub.club/@dan) I'm new to this platform. I tried years ago to get in but didn't understand, please be patient with me I'll learn Mastodon codes through time!

Newsletter(s)

I'm also thinking about using another website service for my newsletter. For months I used Revue ( https://www.getrevue.co/profile/QuidamAngela ), that's a Twitter service with pretty convenient tools but, well, the blue bird will soon be pretty dangerous (people are getting fired and so I have doubts about the security of the data on this site, plus this was not the best website ever but it will be worse and worse I guess?) I looked at other free simple services and Substack and Tiny Letter sounded pretty great. Tiny Letter is visually nicer but Substack sounds more complete on the account personnalisation aspect and seems capable of creating link previews like Revue did therefore I'll try this one.

As I began my newsletter to speak about solo tabletop roleplaying games published on itchio, alongside speaking of my own solo games, but I now speak more and more about my other interests (group games, horror stuff, dino stuff, accessibility, art…), I also thought I could create a "sub-newsletter" sharing only the English solo content for people on itchio. That's a test. Please tell me if that's useful. Anyway I'll always talk about solo games in my main newsletter, but it could be easier for English-speaking solo-curious-people to directly get what they're interested in just by clicking on an itchio button.

My newsletter moved to: https://danews.substack.com/

I tried to import subscribers' emails list and post archives but it didn't work, will try again tomorrow. Anyway don't worry I'll delete your emails from Revue.

My solo-focused sub-newsletter will be there: https://angela-quidam.itch.io/solodanews

Links reminder:

Cheers,

Dan
