Possibly a bootleg website pretending to be itch.io

I stumbled upon https://itchio.cloud visually it is identical to itch.io and has the same amount of games, however clicking on any game brings users back to itch.io. My question is, is it official? If so, what is the purpose of this mirror? If not, will action be taken against this?

It’s someone’s proxy that is unaffiliated with us. We’ve banned them from proxying our platform. We do not run any alternate domains for our website, only trust the domain itch.io. If you see anything else please report it, and do not type any sensitive account information into the site (like trying to log in)

There is another such "mirror", https://xplay.me

Though they claim they are a search engine. Only, what they link to is a mirrored file hoster that scrapes off stuff hosted on itch. And their "search results" are scraped off itch game descriptions, even copying links to patreon and such, the only thing missing is the link to itch.

A problem, besides the obvious, is, that they still make malware available, that has been at least taken off the itch index. It is bad enough with itch taking days to take down obvious scams. R-87648 was indexed for about a week (still available on the "mirror" even though it seems completely gone from itch, not only delisted).

How long will R-88285 R-88284 R-88338 last?
