This is a great use of the rotation theme. The first opening and the camera walking when you defeat the enemy are impressive. It looks like you used a tilemap, but the grid pattern is a bit of a concern. However, I believe that the problem will be resolved later. Overall, it's a very fun game.

I reaaaally like the attacking system, LOL, especially for the close-up shots when enemies get killed!! I love it!!
Also the details are really nice! (Like the sound effects when the blue balls hits the enemy, small decorations like geometric shapes on the terrain, or the X eyes of the bees when they get killed) Very delicate!
Nice work :D
I finished the game, I am awesome! ...the message said so at the end :P
At first I thought the zoom in effect on kills would get old, but combined with the sound it's oddly satisfactory. Maybe because those dodgy bees are absolute bastards. :D
Some jumps were frustrating, but you absolutely need those in a platformer to offer some challenge.
I dunno, really enjoyed it, only want more of it. No criticism here.
The presentation is pretty nice, with the kill cam and the intro and such. However the kill cam got old pretty quick with it happening to every enemy. The sprites changing on the kill cam was a nice touch though.
I think that the central mechanic of spinning orbs could've had another purpose added to it to make it more interesting, now you can only attack enemies and nothing else, maybe a way to solve puzzles with them or traverse would've been an interesting addition. Maybe that's something to expand on if you ever revisit the idea.
At first I built the kill cam to happen every hit and it definitely became overwhelming haha, so I tried to tone it down a little bit, but I see that it is still too much for many players, so, next time, maybe I will try to isolate them to memorable moments only. About the spheres, I thought about adding powers that let you accelerate them or increase their range, but I didn't think abou using the for puzzles or traversion, interesting idea! Thanks for playing and for the great suggestions!
The zoom when killing an enemy felt nice and punchy the first time around, but after the third enemy it was just a bit disorienting :P
I have nothing but praise for this game. I loved the intro, the gameplay is very well balanced, controls are great, sound effects as well. Punching and killing enemies is so satisfying! I thought "kill cam" would become annoying, but it didn’t, I could kill enemies like this all day. This is one of my favorite entries this jam and definiely the best platformer for me. Amazing work all around!
My favourite part of the game is the SFX and animation when you kill an enemy.
SOOOOO satisfying!
Fun game!
Good job :)
Very nice game. I loved the opening scene and the faces the characters did on hits. The game oozes charm.
Really fun, has a cool learning curve to it. The theme is implemented really really well. Should you want to keep working on the game maybe add an option to disable the zoom in? Not that I think its bad but if the game would be much longer I could imagine it becoming annoying after a while. Other than that I don't have too much to say, great game :)
Nice little Platformer and cool adaption of the Theme
Would be cool to see it expand in an after-jam Version maybe with new abilitys like expanding or shrinking the radius of the ghost buddys or getting aditional ghosts. Changing the behavior of them so that they dogde forward and backward instead of rotating :)
That camera zoom and facial expression really makes you feel good about defeating the foes.
So cool! You got me at the start with the bit of cutscene. I was like "Oh, looks like it's frozen" and then boom! Drama! :D I love the smooth transitions between the different levels, the zoom in/slowdown effect when you defeat an enemy, and the clever use of the assets. Well done!
The 5 bee onslaught on level 3 was terrifying but somehow I made it through! I love the little details you added to this game, especially the cute animations that happen when you kill an enemy haha. And the sound when you hit something was so satisfying. The circling weapons was a really good mechanic to a platformer because it made me have to time every jump near an enemy. Thanks for sharing, this was fun!
