Massive congratulations to the entire team on winning the Originality category!

I loved the cinematic feel of it! Great transitions. Music was also very fun! Never would have expected Golf and Cameras to mix so well.

I do wish it was more clear where the crab was, maybe some stomping or roaring coming from its direction? It did bring an interesting balance however, where I almost wanted the city to be destroyed more to be able to see it better!

A bit hard to understand at first but once you figure out how to play, it's actually quite fun. Using the golf ball as a camera is a really unique and fun concept, and taking pictures while soaring through the sky was a blast. The game is quite buggy though, and the win conditions don't feel clear as even though I took various pictures with all the required pieces, I still lost. Still was a blast to play though.

Thanks for playing our game! Hearing that you had fun makes me so happy! And thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback.

Were you rating the new version or the old one? Those bugs should be fixed in the V1.0 version (although those bug fixes were made after the initial jam period). If you are still experiencing these issues in the new version, please let us know! Also, if the objects were too far away to capture (indicated by camera blur) they won't count (we should probably indicate that in the instructions).

I think I tried out the original since that was the one that was submitted originally. I just wanted to be fair in my judgment without the bug fixes. But I'll be sure to play the update once the jam ends.

Developer

That's understandable! I'd love to hear your thoughts about the fixed version after the jam if you replay it!

I loved this haha really, really unique concept.

If I could say anything, I feel like the golfer should rotate with the camera to save on controls. Outside of that, I loved the premise and the graphics, and that song is super catchy. I think this could very easily be expanded with other courses/cities.

Very imaginative way to combine golfing with a photo snappin game. Visuals and music fit this crazy premise very well. Would love to see this developed further!

5 stars all around, insanely good game!!

This is a super wacky concept in all the right ways. Adored the visuals and the idea.

My only issue was the super intense bloom effect that has a hard cutoff rather than a smooth fade. The golfer camera was also too low and could use pitch controls IMO. But loved this one overall!

Thanks for playing!

The blur effect was something we struggled with, the idea was to very clearly represent what was out of range of the camera's vision, but maybe there was a way to smooth it out better without losing that...

I'm not sure what you mean by pitch controls, did the mouse not move the camera high enough?

Submitted

Maybe I need to replay it. I recall the camera being off a bit for my taste. Possible my issues stem from the camera's height.

Incredibly original mechanic. I love the challenge of focusing a camera through the bouncing ball. You could easily polish this up, add on some new city layouts, tee boxes, and kaiju and have a full, hilarious release.  Really exceptional, this was the game that had me the most excited about its possibilities.

Really novel concept, would love to see more of it. The designs and atmosphere reminded me slightly of Jet Set Radio, it's really well done!

I really enjoy the core concept! I just wish there was more to it since I found it pretty easy to fulfill every condition with just one photo. That said, it's a cool idea which I think would benefit from being fleshed out more!

Developer

hahaha yea. After our bug fix we realized a bit too late that it had made the game much too easy. Thanks for the feedback!

I can´t play after throw the ball, bit the concept is interesting

Developer

Thanks for playing! You reset the ball using r! It's in the controls.
