Nice game! Love the aesthetics and music. At first I didn't know you could jump in mid-air, so I just jumped and waited to land to jump again, then I realized I had to jump 50 times, so I just kept pressing space to realize I could fly, haha.

Would be nice to be able to do something in the 3D world, or at least see the other villagers in 3D. :)

Lots of people have submitted games where you travel from the third dimension into a 2D world but the opposite is rare!

The inclusion of achievements (or an achievement) was an unexpected bonus!

Poor Leo, after his sad mushroom picking I went back into the 3D world and jumped very high... and then I went off the edge of the world and fell forever. He was excited to discover 'Up' but probably didn't enjoy 'Down' quite as much.

It doesn't show in the screenshots, but for me playing in the browser there were noticeable gaps between the tiles so everthying appeared to have green gridlines.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the great review!
Yeah, down seems to be pretty unpleasant :D
As for the gaps, you're the first one to point them out actually, great observation. I see them in Unity and in the Windows build as well, probably some issue with the Tilemap feature or I messed up the size of the tiles slightly, need to figure that out for the future, thanks!

You're very welcome!

It may be as simple as adding the source image of the tiles to a sprite atlas, if you haven't tried that. :)

Nice take on the theme!

Developer

Thanks, loved yours as well!

Cute world with a neat take on the theme.

Cool game, like it, when you change between 2d and 3d.

Would like to have more content. Maybe a story where you have to convert the whole village into 3D ;D

Developer(+1)

That's a great idea actually! If I started working on it a couple days earlier maybe I could've added that, but the deadline is the deadline :D
Thanks for playing and for the great feedback!

Submitted(+1)

That was good, you  executed the theme well.

Developer

Thanks a lot, both for playing and for the feedback!

I'm a sucker for extra thick pixel art outlines. Really cute world and I like the transition between 2d and 3d. I feel like it would have been cool if each time the player jumped in the 3d world, their jump was higher. So by the end, they jumped like 50 feet in the sky. It would make it more fun to jump repeatedly, and it would make sense because of how much the player emphasized the jumping high after coming back to the 2d world.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it. In that dream sequence you could jump infinitely, so yeah, the idea was to keep jumping and you'd end up in the sky, guess I didn't communicate that well enough. Just making sure, you jumped 50 times on the ground, right?

Submitted(+1)

oh haha yeah I jumped on the ground. Didn't realize I could keep jumping up into the sky x) but that makes a lot of sense!

I like how you can "continue" after the game ends, but would like to have a way to go back to the main menu.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for a good suggestion, will add that!

I was very much wondering why "mouse look" was listed in the controls of a 2D top down game :D
Would have loved a way to speed up the text as there was a lot of it and it comes in quite slow. But I managed to do it all, even the mushrooms, and finished the game :)

Great job !

Developer

Yeah, I kinda thought it would give away the idea but ended up adding that in case players don't know that's possible.
Secondly, the dialogue definitely needs a skip option, I slacked up on that but this seems to be the biggest issue with most players so far, good lesson for the future.
Thanks a lot!

You realy got me with the "surprise"-Moment the first time the dimensions switched. Was really not expecting this! Just for that moment worth playing alone hrhr

Submitted

Cool concept, liked the idea to transition from 2d to 3d. :D Dialogues were well made too, some puns ware pretty funny.

Great job! :)

Really fun idea!

So goofy, I love it. I would have like to have faster text bubbles. I was not expecting 3D environments which jump scared me in a good way!

Very good design of the village in both dimensions. Simple, yet engaging story. First transition to second dimension really caught me offguard!

Nice one, great way to handle the theme - and the graphics simply too cute

I love the story of this it was done really well. The line where Luna says that there is no up in our dimension cracked me up for some reason almost spilled my coffee :D

Developer

Didn't expect to hear that :D Glad you enjoyed it!

Great game i found it really fun, also the mechanics are simple but fun!
The only things that could help for me are: The cursor gets out of the window is pretty annoying when you are in the 3D World, and when you pick up an object (ex the bucket) it would be nice to have it facing the roation of the character and not being always to the left.
But aside that this is really a great fun game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the great feedback! Good tip regarding the cursor, I would've missed that, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

That was a cute game! I liked the story and the metatalk :)

What I was missing was looking down, while jumping so high. :P

If you have the time, please play and rate my game, too.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Just added that, now you can happily look down while you fly off into space 😁

It was a nice experience, I like how the theme is integrated. I do feel the game is a little slow overall, but then again that could just be me not really enjoying casual slow paced type games. Good job!

Developer

I wouldn't disagree as a player myself I'm not really into these types of games :D Also the fact that you can't skip dialogue probably slows the experience down a bit, but to create this in a couple of days was very satisfying. Thanks playing it!
