Gorgeous game, so polished and well-executed - the gameplay, the UI, the visuals and sound. Well done 😎

Ah yes cat corpses it was to be expected. Fantastic game loved it!

Beautiful and well polished. The controls are nice and the jumps etc don't require pixel perfect precision, I appreciated that. I also appreciated that there were "save points" during the levels so I didn't have to start from scratch, I think that's a mistake some similar games have made, as they progress they wanted to make longer levels with more complicated puzzles but didn't consider how the player would feel going back to the start and doing the same jumps over and over again even when they're doing it right, let alone when they're doing it wrong.

The music was pleasing and calm and the sound effects were good. I liked the arrow traps in particular.

Would have been better if the cat had 9 lives on every level though ;)

A very good entry, wish I'd had to time play to the end. Maybe another day. Certainly worth another shot.

Nice level progression. Unfortunately I didn't make it past level 5...

Good job!

This is a very beautiful game with very interesting mechanics and art style. I love it. Although there's not much criticism that I have for this game, here's a summary of what I like and dislike about it.

What I like:

1. The new mechanic where you use your old dead bodies as platforms to both stand on and block traps is a very interesting and new concept. It also fits well in a 2D platformer like this

2. The gameplay is quite accessible and the controls are very simple

3. The art style is well polished and the color palette works well with the pixel art setting

4. The level progression felt natural and fair. I didn't feel like some of the earlier levels are harder than their later counterparts. The level design overall is well-made, which makes the game challenging, but still fair

5. I like the music

6. I like the bit of humor in the game, cuz why not have cats in a cat-a-combs :P

What I don't like:

1. The laser beam trap sfx seems missing, I'm not sure if that was by choice or something else, but overall, this is a minor issue

2. The soundtrack, while is very nice, adding more music pieces to it would've been even better imo. Like maybe one for the main menu and one for the levels.

Other than that, I can't find much negative things to say about the game, so well done. You made a very lovely game

Loved the art, loved the execution, loved the platforms and puzzles as those felt very unique.

Well Done!

Snap :) similar mechanic :D.
Great job. Art and music fit well together.
Clever puzzle design to, lots of tricky ways to build complex levels, and use those dead bodies.
Think i've got some stuff to learn from this to help my own improve.
Great job! Well done!

This game has gorgeous art, music and is very fun. It requires the right amount of strategy and every feature bonds perfectly with the theme. Amazing work everyone!

Wow insanely polished, great job!

This was really fun to play, thank you for being generous with the extra lives heheh

I liked everything, but one thing that stood out to me was how smooth the transitions were, like between levels or when you die. Really cool!

Congrats on completing the jam! I've seen several games where you die and use your body to progress but this one is by far the best. I thought the art was great and the level design was perfect, especially with some checkpoints to save us from running through the same solved puzzles we had already died through.

Really cool! I finished the game! :D

Cool mechanic with beautiful pixel art ! Enjoyed the game so much!

Wow! What an amazing game from start to finish! The music, art, animation, mechanic, everything. Beautiful choice in music which really sets the tone right from the main menu. Nice smooth transitions between scenes. The dithered lighting effect around the character is also a very nice touch. You even managed to have a surprising number of levels in there. An incredibly polished experience. Congratulations to your team on a job well done. I'm blown away!

Such an awesome submission! The art style is so good, and the mechanic was simple and intuitive. The level design also made very good use of the mechanic! I can really tell that this game was made by a team. It's just so polished. Well done!

Really good game, with fantastic mechanics. I love the aesthetics and the little details, like the candles in the background and the shining spikes. Well build and polished, with a lot of great ideas, like the checkpoint system and the puzzles. It is almost perfect, almost! I really hate that the fading platforms are not regenerating and you have to sacrifice one life! :D Besides that, awesome job, congratulations! :)

awesome game! the controls are responsive and the gameplay is a fun and challenging action puzzle,  played this for a while, really enjoyed it, congratulations! keep it up!

Incredibly polished! The control is precise and smooth. The level design is generally very good. The sprites and the animation is cohesive and beautiful. I find the spawn point to be visually appealing. the game is very pretty!

There are some spots that feel a little bit frustrating. And sometimes the platform is positioned just right that I will always bump into it and die. It will also feel a little better if the laser hitbox is a little more forgiving. But the overall difficulty is totally fine.

Overall, a very good game with very interesting level designs filled with ideas. Very well-made. Great job!

Excellent game! definitely one of my favorites of the ones I've played so far in this jam, great mechanics, and great artwork. It had some tricky levels but I managed to finish it. Really nice job, congratulations! :)

First off, the art direction here is something special. Hats off to the artist. Altogether an incredibly polished and beautiful puzzle platformer. The 2nd level with the laser skulls proved to be too tricky for me, so that's where I stopped. I had a lot of fun though! One of the most polished submissions in the jam, and one of the most original styles, 100%!
